Amongst others, I thought Yze stuffed Mac around a bit last season. Next year I want to see Mac afforded, at the least, the same amount of opportunities and leeway that Thomson Dow was given in 2024.

Yep has a great chance to be a starting mid come round 1

He needs to learn how to accelerate once he gets ball in hand. Has natural speed but doesn’t quite use it.
But also agree the club stuffed him around and he lost confidence

he did get injured a couple of times which didnt help

There was something amiss with Kane last year. I suspect it was his stamina with all the interruptions he had during the year due to injury and the time he didn't play for a month due to being a sub and byes.


He has been fantastic to watch at hist best and am hoping he can grow to his potential next year.

I did say in my very limited training report that McAuliffe looked ripped, thanks for confirming my eyes weren't deceiving me.

As long as hes up to doing so physically he MUST be prioritised over the likes of Dow.

This kid is going to be one of our new generation midfield with Lalor, or Langford or FOS.

Not that Kane had much competition but he did lead the sprints today. Also there were a couple of tiny glimpses at VFL level last year where he exploded out of the centre a goaled from 50m, a lot more of that required please.

I've liked this kid since the minute we drafted him

That 15 minute burst he had before he got injured at Gather round where he seemed to rack up the footy at will was bloody exciting.
Fingers crossed he's a lot more robust after a 2nd preseason.
