Josh Caddy

Only need to look at the Geelong game down there when he went off injured to know what difference he makes to our forward structure

Agree with this analogy as we had missed Jacksons role once he retired - think Caddy also plays the forward 50 space better
He is also tougher and likes to get stuck into the opposition.

Graham,Griff,Shedda & KMac we seen running the tan this morning

Be interested to see how Griff went amongst that group.
Kmac and Sheds by a mile, then Graham 500 back, then Griff gods knows where

Would be interested to see his playing weight this year compared to 2017. Was ripped last year , still ripped but looked leaner on the coverage yesterday. Was moving really well

Think his dropped some weight.
Too big last year. Expecting a big year from him 2018

Caddy has all the tools to be a very good player (not an A Grader but an A- or B+) except for his lack of pace. If he could add a yard he is a pretty much complete player in that he works incredibly hard, takes a good grab, has clean hands and an eye for a goal. Has mongrel as well.

Could also get better at kicking for goal

That's what I noticed most yesterday.
Before the game one of the coaches was rolling the ball out and Caddy had to go in hard, bump the coach and grab the pill.
Caddy went in so hard for the bump I felt sorry for the poor coach on the receiving end.

And then I think of Graham, Towner and Conca.
Geez even Sheds, Houli and Grigga are ripping in to the contested ball.
Seems to be a point of pride.

I thought Josh was a good pick up but not overly significant. You knew what you'd get 20 disposals and a goal a game.

Skills is what lets him down hard hands , inconsistent kicking but his big plus is his size, smarts and annoyingness factor. Needed that extroverted blowhard factor especially last September. Expect him to become unbearabe for opposition fans if we continue our run.

Also improving as a footballer ;D
