Miles can in no way impact a contest like Caddy, as he doesn't have a big enough body. Miles is also no where near as versatile.

FFS. He's rarely outmarked against one or two blokes he's giving 3-4 inches to. He knocks blokes out of the way. He makes space for teammates by doing so. He gives us valuable mass in the contest. Miles does none of those things.

Caddy is not the one keeping Miles out.
Yep. Was solid in a high pressure first half where no one could get control of the game n lifted into one of our best in the second half. Does plenty of grunt work for our little rodents to gain from.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

He's a valuable grunt player for us. Would love him to get a bit of enforcer in him as well for the likes of Cotch who gets tagged every week.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

9 possessions in the first 3 quarters, 11 in the last.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

People worry too much about disposal tallies. Look at effect.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

With you Spook.

Just saves himself for a big effort last quarters.

Does a lot of grunt work that gets unnoticed .

Been better than Prestia in my view. Has to do a big of rucking play as a CHF talk option as we have no one.

Doing multiple jobs.

I'm not sure Caddy (or any AFL player) "saves" themselves for last quarter efforts.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Yeah Spook poor choice should have said LIFTS himself for las quarters.!

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Reckon it was his best game for us. Huge last quarter.

Agree Riddles.
At HT I was still lamenting his lack of pace and urgency but he was excellent late in the game.
Best game so far for sure.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

I wouldn't say he had a great game, but he had a very good last quarter.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

28 pressure acts, 8 contested possessions, 6 tackles and 4 clearances. Doing a lot of grunt work when you look at those stats and the position he is playing.

Yep that's a lot of hard work right there, the sort of work that goes unnoticed a lot.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Goes missing every week, still gets a game.

Never attacks hard.

Set shot kicking is woeful.

Only gets the easy ball.

What a waste.

Yep. Junktime Josh was needed early tonight.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Is Caddy meant to be one of the players leading the Tigers to the Holy Grail?
A solid foot soldier at best. Can't really see him amounting to much for the Tigers.
Just too one-dimensional as a player.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Our version of jack crisp. Steak knives recruit that has the kicking skills of a donkey

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

One thing he is is consistent with the stats, 21 touches an a goal , seems to be around that often. Av 19 an has kicked 10 goals for the season
