A lot of respect for Joel not least for the way he conducted himself when he was dropped last year. He was the scapegoat but instead of moaning, he put his head down and delivered week after week in the Burgs until he forced his way back. Then won a couple of games for us. The EFC point routine and then the goal against Brisbane. I still think if he had player against the Dogs and Saints last year we may have made the 8.

Thanks for everything Joel. A true gentleman and club man. Hopefully you'll be a Tiger for life and involved with us in some way when we win our next flag.

Kind of a bad week for his retirement even though they want it near his testimonial. Collingwood on top of their game and even if we play out of our skins, I can't see us coming within 40 points of the scum. Will be sad to see Joel go though, been a great servant.

Matty Rogers played well in his last game and should have kept his spot. Didn't happen.

yes history doesn't bode well for him if he does play well...in my eyes shouldve been back in a while ago!

I have been a big Bowden Basher over the years, but have to thank him for his efforts and for standing tall on many occasions and for at least doing the right thing and hanging up the boots rather than trying to play on like others. Best memory will always be the goal against Brisbane last year. I promised i wouldn't bag him again if he slotted it. Unfortunately it only lasted 2 weeks.
