Jack Ross

With the MC seemingly finally settling Ross in one position he is starting to look the player we thought he was when first drafted. Could be very important in our future alongside the old guard and TT / JH

Where did this Ross talk come from?

Heard it yesterday and thought, what??

Ross will improve even more next year. As a mid not as a winger!

Jack is a fair dinkum Richmond man too. The Sonz has giving him credit for taking him under his wing.

Remember when he was drafted he said he wanted to be captain? Every chance at some point. Richmond man, leader in the making

Ross will have the perfect player to model his game around and hopefully emulates the Hopper game

Might not be in our best team at the pointy end of the season, but he will be very handy next year. Geelong showed this year when Dangerfield did his calf they gave him more than enough time to get back and get to elite fitness and fresh for finals. Cotchin and Prestia will be no doubt be injured or a least need to be rested so we need Ross in the guts for his development and our depth.

2023 AFL grand final

Jack Ross misses out on another premiership due to Richmonds midfield depth that includes
Hopper Taranto Bolton Prestia Martin Graham Cotchin Pickett Short

unless prestia late out

An intense and dedicated young man is JR. Exactly the qualities a few recent departures didn't have.
I'm backing him to still make a strong contribution this year.

If this kid takes a leap next year our future looks a lot brighter.
More than happy if Ross takes a leap next season, but I'm not real sure he needs a leap. Couple of tweaks n another step n he'll be a more than handy support player in the team. He's done the apprenticeship n got games n growth under the belt, reckon he's stepped his game up reasonably well each year n a bit more will simply see him become one of those rock solid reliable type players that every team needs to provide the platform for the stars to dance on.

He has another year to develop and enhance his game
We will have Cotchin retiring end of 2023 and Graham might be looking for a pay day also Pickett not getting younger and will need depth , Ross has a place on the list

Thinking Ross will be learning a fair bit from Hopper and the way he goes about playing inside mid

They are exactly the same height and weight and both inside mids
