Jack Riewoldt [Merged]

I don’t know if I’m not seeing it right, but it seems when they play together they all just try and jump at the same long high ball..along with Castagna and Bolton… like a game of marks up! No separation… none of them playing as a high lead at the ball carrier … just seems dysfunctional.
20/20 eight ball.

Against the undermanned and unimpressive Giants defense?
Phil Davis injury hurt them.

But you may still be right.
The rationale with 3 pronged forwards is that one gets loose. That hasn't occurred so far.

True. By extension, the Dogs game where the tall forwards played very well their defence was undermanned too. Dimma going into this week said we’d played two bad quarters, but there’s an argument that both wins have come when matchups up forward really suited us. Just shows how fine the margins are.

Hanging out with Klaus in Vienna in 1791, he turns to me and goes, "I reckon Wolfy's just about kaput." Then bugger me with a strudel if ol' WAM didn't just drop The Magic Flute on us. Still, it was his last season.
Klaus was one of the first into clickbait.
All about his own ego I thought.
Lovely fella though

Washed up? Mr Damien Hardwick sprung a few traps early and in them Jack was playing loose at CHB. Then rucking in D50.

Things didn't work out on the night. We were smashed by 30 behinds. But Jack was not the problem.

Was nice to see Jack overtake both Wayne Carey & Peter Hudson on the all-time goal kickers list today.
728.
Another 20 will see him sitting nicely behind our own KB and Richo.

Took Hudson about 180 games less JR's played to reach his tally.
Such a phenomenal footballer was barge arse Huddo.

I want the footy world to acknowledge Jack's pass to Dusty for the goal.

It was immediate. Important. Cultural.

Jack could have buffed to his tally. Instead he buffed our talisman.

The decision, the foresight, and the awareness. That's why you need Jack Riewoldt.

The MCG pulsed when Dusty slotted it. It was a four point goal, rather than than a six point one.

Reminded me somewhat of the pass Dusty gave to Marlion in the 2019 grand final when they could have easily had a shot themselves

It was Martinesque to Marlion in 2019.

Get him up and about!!

Heard him on Fox as a commentator in the Brisbane game last weekend.
Thought he did a wonderful job and displayed a terrific understanding of the tactical game.
Has the ability to do what he wants after he leaves the game.
Wouldn’t surprise if he coached , in preparation for a senior role.

Young Jack, pre 2017 takes the shot. Elder statesman Jack, does the team thing.

If Tom Lynch can keep monstering defenders, Jack will remain a very dangerous footballer. If Dusty gets back to his best and Shai continues on his upward trend, then our forward line will be incredible. If Junior keeps improving it will be unstoppable.

Lynch, Riewoldt, Dusty, Bolton, Junior and Castagna. No-one will play on Castagna.

After kicking his only goal for a game there’s no need for anyone to play on George
Hes done for the day

I'm in favour of a tallish who can kick reasonably straight in the mid season draft. Lynch gets hurt we are ratto.
