Jack Riewoldt [Merged]

Hanging out with Klaus in Vienna in 1791, he turns to me and goes, "I reckon Wolfy's just about kaput." Then bugger me with a strudel if ol' WAM didn't just drop The Magic Flute on us. Still, it was his last season.

Jack: Gunna kick a torp.
Ump: Lol, good luck.
Jack: Mate, I used up all my luck when I was born a genius. *Warps space*

There's no one in the VFL capable of giving us even half of what Jack does now.

He plays as long as he wants to.

Now in the twilight of his playing career never forget his future value to the club for the next two or three decades to bring in financial support with the coterie One club champion triple premiership player and media personality. Admittedly he might have to shoot his cousin Nick first or get a double act going to maximise his media opportunities.

I still giggle when I watch the clip.
Jack's words should now be in the vernacular.
When someone is feeding you a bunch of useless instructions or information, and you're just thinking "*smile* off, i'll do it my way"
you can just say "i'm gonna kick a torp"

3 times maybe more he saw the ball off the boot, turned around and went to the landing spot.
His opponent and all the other players watched the ball and were defeated, turning at the last minute to see Jack standing there to mark the ball.

He has an unmatched ability to judge where the ball will land.
None better in the league for the last 10 years.
Sublime field kick too

Spot on. I grew up in Tas watching Peter Hudson. Jack reads the play & drop of the ball like Hudson used to.

Peter Hudson....now there is one freak of nature. The most amazing forward I have ever seen. Royce is the best, but Huddo was a mercurial genius.
Back in the west gippsland zoning days he was playing in a pre-season game at Pakenham one day, he made Kelvin Moore look silly with some of his goals. What a show for the locals!

Jack is Back Baby

He's not quite the Jumping Jack of old but he'll still bob up and kick his 2 goals a game and create a few others too.

Lets just call him Jogging Jack. He couldnt get off the ground on the weekend. Hopefully this picks up

A power forward who cant kick 50 meters accuretly is a concern. Much prefer Lynch/Balta combo, I love Jack his is a champ, but I feel like he is becoming a liability in the forward line, as a 3rd forward would be ok, but needs to defend much better. Missing easy goals is gonna come back to bite him i reckon.

Interesting times for the match committee and this champion. His inability to chase and defend our fwd 50 is glaring and becoming costly.

Small sample size, but Balta's best game was when Riewoldt didn't play.

Against the undermanned and unimpressive Giants defense?
Phil Davis injury hurt them.

But you may still be right.
The rationale with 3 pronged forwards is that one gets loose. That hasn't occurred so far.

I don’t know if I’m not seeing it right, but it seems when they play together they all just try and jump at the same long high ball..along with Castagna and Bolton… like a game of marks up! No separation… none of them playing as a high lead at the ball carrier … just seems dysfunctional.
