No offence to the footballers mentioned on this thread as most have got the best out of themselves.

But reading these names really does show how far away from challenging we are. Most aren't the type that can elevate themselves to the elite of AFL which you need from your B & F leaders.

Didn't T. Cloke win Collingwoods B&F last year? 8)

For a North Melbourne supporter you profess to know a lot about Richmond.

Would love Tambling to storm home to win it.

Would be the feel good story of the year (just ignore that whole 'Another Richmond season down the toilet' thing).

You'd prefer our twighlighters? ;)

I think it's actually a positive sign that many of the perceived young strugglers are the ones flourishing.
Now it's up to those those with more perceived ability to catch up.

It's actually a bit of a transition season this for the club given the vets on the list have had little impact whatsoever, that's then main reason that we are seeing such an usual spread of unfamiliar players.
Probably the most disappointing players so far this season are who have finished high in the count previously despite the prevalence of twighlighters. That being the likes of Moore & Raines. Foley & Deledio also have been slightly below par this so far this season based on their impressive performance over the last couple of years.

Jackson, then daylight. Says something grim I'd reckon.

Spot on.

There is a reason why we suck this season.

All credit to particularly Daniel Jackson who has been our most dedicated and best performed player this season, by a fair way to, but if we are ever going to be a team that wins finals, Jackson needs to be pegged down to a level of core player. Discussed this with the biggest Jackson fan last night and both agreed.

Soon the days of Deledio, Cotchin, Riewoldt.....ummm yer. :-[

Well done Jackson for a brilliant first half of the year, keep it up, we need to add to the Elite group ;) ;D

Thats more like it TB. Some praise for Dan ;D

As big fan of Jackson I agree with what you say. We need our more 'naturally talented' players leading the B&F if we are to march up the ladder. However in saying that we musnt not underestimate the value that Jackson brings to the group.

I can see Jackson being as valuable for us when we have a team capable of challenging for the flag as Ling is for the Cats. he should never be our best player, or our most skillful, but he'll play his role and win most battles.

1. Jackson
2. Tuck
3. Tambling
4. McGuane
5. Morton

Foley, Lids, Bowden, Nahas, Collins, Polo ( could also be up there in the top 10 players)

That's an interesting comparision BigBear, hopefully not solely based on butt-ugly looks :-X ;D I've never looked at Jacko as a Ling-a-like, but I might now.

Regardless of your opinion of Jackson as a footballer, you have to admire his ability to be simultanteouly nominated by many on PRE is both likely leader Best player award as well most weeks appearing in many poster's outs/delist the duds lists :spin

There is one of those every year. Last year was McGuane.
