Besides Grimo, Rance, Chimp and Jack we don't have the best of speakers at the club.
Were past players like this?
Dimma's speech - was he a bit pissed? He couldn't speak properly without mashing up words. I'm hoping it is a sign he was able to let go and relax for a night.
Hence, the radio gig. They were much worse! Mum used to love KB because he was one of the few players who could string a sentence together.
B&F in premiership year is a feather in a players cap.Congratulations Prestia! A worthy winner.
Balmeys eloquence was acquired later in life. They were much worse! Mum used to love KB because he was one of the few players who could string a sentence together.
I'm not too surprised. He didn't appear to get too interested until after the bye.Awesome Meatball won it but if Dusty wasn't in our top 5 players this year then I don't know football.

Maybe it'll spur him on to improve his standing next year.
You can tie in our B&F system but are ranked in Brownlow and Coaches Award voting. Dusty clear top ranked in GF in NS voting (and coaches voting) but top votes given to numerous players in B&F.He was still our highest-ranked player on coaches' votes, even excluding the finals. Just ahead of Prestia but a long way clear of Edwards in 3rd.
Maybe the b&f uses different criteria, or the opposition coaches were giving him the votes.
It was a 6th place finish but only 2 votes away from 5th and 3 votes away from 4th behind Lynch and Vlaustin. When you look at the round 4 suspension and round 21 game against Carlton when Dusty was out with soreness, so no votes possible - could easily have been another top 5 finish if circumstances were different. But.......if I had to choose between taking round 21 off to manage the body to ensure a fit and firing Dustin Martin for the final series over a placing in the B&F ............ no contestAwesome Meatball won it but if Dusty wasn't in our top 5 players this year then I don't know football.

In the three blocks of counting he went 12, 20 and 35.I'm not too surprised. He didn't appear to get too interested until after the bye.
Maybe it'll spur him on to improve his standing next year.
