Ivan Soldo

Can't wait to see the smile/grin on his face next Saturday when he's got a premiership medallion swinging around his neck.
He will give it all and then some more for the team in the GF

Personally I would only play one ruckman next week.
I would bring in another runner.

He’s improved so much with the run of games he got that you can trust in him now. He’s like a roughie coming from second last on the bend into the straight in the Cup. I shake my head with how much he has stepped up and grown. That’s a testament to the development in our club, the coaches and the man himself. He gives his all as well.
Ivan II

Soldos tap work is outstanding and he's really competitive on the ground now. It's only his break out year and once he gets more confident with his marking he'll go up another level.

Best game for the club.

I started to relax in the second half when he started to clunk those marks - that was the only missing piece of his game.

His ruck work is getting better each week, and he appears to be presenting better around the ground, has past Nank as a tap ruckman, is very smart in the centre, A fully fit Nank is still a more rounded player, there is definitely room for both of them in the same side now.

To illustrate how far he’s come, go and watch the VFL 2017 final series. Some of the most inept rucking performances you will ever see. Putrid comes to mind.
Fast forward 2019, and he’s just dominated in an AFL Preliminary final.
Wow.

Three months ago some posters were lining up to pile in on Soldo.

I can't understand how we have him on our list.

Deport back to the Balkans

Soldo is not the future. He never will be.

can’t understand how the club could go into the season with Soldo as our backup ruck.

Capuano him.

How the hell is he actually on a afl list let alone getting a game?
Going in with 21 tomorrow night.

He is rubbish. Picking up players that started playing 3 days ago arent going to cut it.
Just get him out. I rather have castagna in the ruck

In fact, so long off the pace he won't be on the list next year.

I didn't bother attaching the posters names but maybe a bit of humble pie is in order.

Sometimes we need to look at what players offer not the errors they make.

Tap work was great and was very combative last night great game Ivan.

Surpised me with some off those contested marks... but a horrible kick!
Great game... he is a shoo in to play gf

Not last night but Soldo is usually a pretty efficient kick and finds a target despite the mechanical nature of his technique. If you had to pick 5 of our players in an AFL type penalty shoot out from 30m out he would be in my 5, for the exercise they are:

1. Caddy
2. Lambert
3. Lynch
4. Brando
5. Soldo

And no I didn't forget Jack and Dusty play for the Richmond Football Club ;)

He does a bit of everything.

Will get even better when he’s marking it up forward more, which he’s shown he can do in spurts. Has upside for next year.

The post winning photo I want to see is Ivan and Ivan together. Jnr's rise to stardom is as much Snr's success story as a ruck coach
