Ivan Soldo

Thanks Soldo for your time with Richmond. Now as other people have mentioned, Ryan needs to developed and get more games into him. If we still had Soldo, great security but would he be stopping Ryan's development? We can't play Nank, Soldo, Ryan, Lynch, Kosi & Bauer in one team. We are at a stage where the younger players require games to enhance their position and ours.

Maybe slightly unders but the biggest question is what we do with the picks?

Can we package them up to get further up the draft board this year or next? Do we trade them to get a mid 20s player that we need? Do we give them all to Hawthorn for Kosi?

Where's Bully??
Who are the best 3 kids in the draft next year??
We have done excalty what Port have gone through, playing without a Ruckman.
Nakas can't stand up for 23 weeks
And Sampson don't kid ourselves, he is miles away. He closer to the exit door then becoming our number 1 Ruckman.
Shouldve kept him, he wouldve got us a compo pick if he left next year and it mightve been even more then 41.
Plus we just helped Port get better. *smile* I hate that.

**anyone notice?? KANO is been very subdued this week not to upset us or Geelong. Just get ready when the deals are done, he will rip us a new one

I suspect we have missed the boat on trading up.
THe clubs who needed to have moved their picks out of r1.***
And other clubs without academy or fs are not going to downgrade from a 20s to a 40s

ITs likely we keep 41

***How about this ridiculous draft hand:
Gold Coast: 24, 27, 28, 32, 36, 38, 62, 66, 71, 74

30 plus or minus a few positio

I didnt realise the suns had 10 open list spots available for all these picks?
I was under the impression there was a rule you can only take as many picks to the draft as you have list spots.
Another farce in the AFL

Best of luck Ivan.

Gonna miss having the big lug at Tigerland, but he deserves to be playing number 1 ruck and can't while Nank is hanging around so I'm comfortable with the trade.

We converted pick 50 into pick 49....sounds so much better! Here we go Hawks, a pick in the 40s for you!

Seriously, when you think Soldo was a Category B rookie, the deal we get is phenomenal. Bit like the buying your first BHP shares when they dug the first hole.

Played the waiting game and it worked.

If I'm a Port supporter, I'm not happy about giving that up.

It’s a great deal. Exactly the sort of trades we should be doing. Very happy with this and when we have those picks next year it’ll be worth it.
