Ivan Soldo

Also the option of Dave going back to defence and Noah playing relief ruck a few minutes a quarter also where his athleticism equals more weaponary around the ground than Chol.

Chollys lack of intensity is concerning in finals for mine.

Broad in as the spare tall to assist down back. That gets Noah off the leash, and he can return to his Key Defence Post next season.
Agree with you re Mabs lack of intensity in the ruck, some of his efforts have been very poor.
If DTLD comes in, I prefer Balta to replace Lynch than Chol, and give Nank a bit of chop out in the ruck.

What do you reckon he was saying to the trainer who was trying to help him off but being about a foot shorter then Ivan wasn’t really able to help him?

Knee instability often Indicates ACL tear thats the main structural ligament holding the knee together inside along with the PCL in a X type pattern.

From the vison he might also have sustained medial ligament injury and possible cartilage damage too but the scans will tell the tale for Ivan and Tommy.
I reckon it’s a bad knee injury. The dreaded double whammy. Want to be wrong though.

ACL and medial. Absolutely shocking.

Wonder if anyone in the media will point out that it occurred because Hawkins shoved Balta into him? Doubt it.

Get well soon big fella.

Richmond ruckman Ivan Soldo has ruptured both his anterior cruciate ligament and medial ligament

Scans have confirmed premiership Richmond ruckman Ivan Soldo has ruptured both his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and medial ligament in last night’s 26-point win over Geelong.

Soldo sustained the injury in a marking contest in the second quarter of the match.

Soldo and the Club’s medical department will seek surgical opinions for the 24-year-old next week.

Richmond General Manager – Football Performance, Tim Livingstone said he was disappointed for Soldo to finish his season this way.

“Ivan has had another outstanding season, and we commend him for his 14 AFL games this year. As a team, we’re disappointed for him to sustain a long-term injury,” he said.

“As we always do with our people, in tough times we rally around them like family, and we’ll continue to support Ivan in the coming days and months throughout his recovery journey.

“He’s a wonderful player for us, but more importantly, he’s a wonderful person to have as part of our Club. We wish him well in his recovery, and we will be with him every step of the way.”

Poor fella, he's been such a workhorse and is still improving.

Really hoping he makes a speedy recovery.

Real shame this injury. Mate has another coach next season with both Ivan’s going to teach him how to smash players

The signing of Nank is now a priority.

Poor bugger. He's been immense for the whole period Nank was out.

Selfless warrior.

Wonder why Dimma said, in his post match press conference in response to a journo question, that Mabs was close to selection this week actually.

Was there a query on one of our big men, or could it mean if St Kilda have beaten West Coast we would have rested someone?

Natanui went to some clinic in Germany or Switzerland. I guess that option is off the table in these COVID days.

That sounds like the ‘mad doctor’. Grimes went to him, too. Really bad luck for Soldo. Hope he can work hard and overcome this. Looks like we’ll have to do 2021 without him.

Good things he's young. Can come back from this better than ever.

Bummer, he has been great.

Looks like most of 2021 out too.

Missing a premiership ruck is a big blow.
