Is McMahon the worst tackler in the history of football??

Sanchez's lack of effort, in tackling and/or any other endeavor, was simply embarrassing!

When you have the build of a 12 yr old school by it is hard to make any tackle stick

I think yes!!! My niece who is 6 tackles harder than he could ever hope to

can we leave the mcmahon bagging until we do a deal with the saints...

he was sensational last nite, ran the lines, tackled as hard as any player ive seen, his contested marking was a delight to see and his sheparding and blocking to help out a team mate is what all players should take a leaf out of...well done jordy :clap you're definitely a 2nd round pic...

McMahon is an offensive player and shouldnt be expected to tackle.
Its not his fault Jade the blunt Blade is playing him out of position.

id rather a bloke that puts himself in a position to tackle and it doesn't stick then the bloke who doesn't even try. but in saying that yes he is a poor tackler

mind you tackling a charging buddy front on would be pretty difficult for 95% of players

This is exactly what I was saying last night and getting howled down for.

Heh heh...McMahon must have seen a speed train coming his way. He's lucky Duddy did a 90deg turn and headed straight to the goals.

$6250.00 a week based on $325,000?? a year, this is a year not football season. $3827.40 take home after tax for that weak bastard, well done Wallace.

Oh and let's not forget that Wallet didn't do this out of the goodness of his heart, he was paid half a million per year for five years to make stuff like this happen. I hope whoever the next coach is he'll rip that BS artist a new one when talking about the mess he inherited.

Yep noticed his attacking skills when given the ball 30 meters out running into and open goal and he kicked it out on the full....... :rofl

He's the worst footballer in the history of league, let alone the worst tackler.

Fancis Bourke, Jimmy Jess, bloody hell even Graeme Landy would of been embarrased by his efforts. You dont have to be of equal size to tackle someone bigger - just know the basics. I agree it was embarrasing.

No I think there have been worse (although please don't challenge me on this) But has there in history been a player whose worth to a club and the amount he is earning been so out of kilter. He must be laughing all the way to the bank.

What I found amusing with mcmahon and tacklingis that on quite a few occassions, when the opposition is going forward and he is 'blocking' the path, he attempts to corral, what the commentators refer to, and doesn't try to cut off the handball, kick or forward movement of the opposition. Only when the opposition player has got rid of the ball, he runs into the player to bump him, why, I don't know. The amusing thing is that 9 times out of 10, he bounces of the player, and doesn't impede movement.

I've always thought that McMahon's physical (and I use the word loosely) size is an indicator of his mental approach to this game and our football club. He's over 25 years old has zero muscle mass and probably weighs the same as a semi overweight 5 year old girl. He has been in the system for 8 years and yes I realise that some players and people in general find it very hard to put on weight ala Farren Ray, Stephen Hill, even our own Lukey Muscles Mcguane. But after 5-7 years of working hard these players eventually 'catch up' to a reasonable level in size (ie McGuane again) to be able to ride the bumps and lay the tackles. McMahon has nothing to show for his work as I believe he would do the absolute bare minimum to appease the coaching staff, we need to pay this guy out of his contract and let him go.

Fans have fundrasiers to get rookies to their clubs and even the dogs are going to throw an aka appeal to pay for the extra money needed to keep him next year, I say we should throw a 'Fire Jordie and pay out his contract' fundraiser. This guy is the weakest, softest player to put on a Richmond guernsey in 100 years.
