Injury Report - Season 2023

Something really stinks about this one… I’ve never heard of a one year hamstring
Infections and continuous setbacks worries me on his future. I suppose Grimo had this when young and came out good later.

It simply isn’t good enough from a strength & conditioning perspective or injury management. Full review needed as it has cost a young player a whole season for what isn’t usually a whole season injury. Not fair to the player or to the team.

Sugar coating rubbish like the club has put out masks over a very very poor part of 2023 operating activities.

First top 10 pick in a decade and he now has a massive question mark over his future. Our luck has definitely turned for the worse in recent years.

Poor Josh, out for the season but can't say I am surprised at that as he has been struggling with his hamstring problem all year. Hopefully now he will get proper treatment so we have a brand new Josh Gibcus back in the firsts come start of next season

This.
Sugar coating his third hamstring relapse to appease the gullible supporters is so poor.
You only have to follow the trail of disaster to realise he’s got serious issues that are not responding under load

Agree - what we should know is what steps the club is taking to fix this before pre season. Very angry at how poor our S&C area has been all year.

Massive question marks on the strength and conditioning department. Seems like we have gone backwards at a rate of knots. Our older players have deteriorated rather rapidly and the younger ones are also having issues. Not good enough.

You can say what you want how does a bad hamstring keep player out for the year even if it was off the bone at his young age.To many excuses for our fitness and conditioning department utter garbage. I still maintain our high standards in general in the footy department have dropped since our flag years.

Have to agree. Lets see how preseason goes but I'm not holding my breath. The fact his hammies aren't responding well sets of massive alarm bells...

I can understand the anger, but we don't know what the full situation is. I agree that there needs to be a review, but the actions taken should come from the review. If the response is pre-determined then the review is superfluous.

He had an operation and got an infection which is always a bad situation, clearly there are issues. But where was the problem, was it preventable and how do we deal with any similar situation?
