Deledio

Cotchin is still too much of an unknown to me. He's got a lot of potential, but that's all he has shown at this point.

Deledio on the other hand has shown much more - so is a safer bet.

Footy is not about one player.

The only thing that our list has going for it is the large group of players in the 20-24 age bracket. I'd like to see most of them stay together for another 3-5 years, with a couple of players of similar age added to the group to replace those who fall by the wayside through natural attrition.

The teams dominating the competition now all have a large group of 24-29 year olds.

Having said that, I would be quite comfortable with a dozen or so changes to the list this year and another 7 or 8 next year. Both goals can be achieved through careful management.

Thta is our best chance for success over the next five years.

Agree. In the spirit of the question though, Cotchin.

If this question was asked 7-8 weeks ago I would have said Scully.

Now, there are three players... Deledio, Cousins, Cotchin.

Most people would pick Cotchin over Deledio right now, but I think that's partly because people prefer things that are new over the old, if they're on similar footing of course.

Cousins is one player I'd do anything to keep in 2010 and 2011 because he could have a massive, massive influence on the future direction of the culture at our club. This is debatable, I know, but I rate his qualities and potential impact for the future very highly.

Cotchin could bring 10 years of setting a new standard, so I'd pick him above Cousins. If you wanted one player for 2010 without looking to the future as much (and looking mainly on-field) I would pick Deledio 1st.

Depends on how you interpret the question as to what your answer should be of those 3 IMO.

Cuz. He can teach the rest how to play (and I have some eye candy for when we get belted by 100 points)
