If we lose this game, our top 4 chances are done & likely, so are our flag chances. On that alone we can almost guarantee that - Lynch is going to get a week, there is no avoiding it.

If this happens then i think we should do exactly what our opponents have done to us all year - flood like crazy & make life impossible for Kennedy & Darling. Slow the game down, keep it low scoring & ugly.

Play jack as a roaming half forward leading up the wings, & have no marking forwards, play all smalls & never kick the ball high inside 50, nothing but worm burning chaos balls, or the occasional one one with Dusty down there. The rest is castagna, rioli, Aarts & Caddy. Maybe even keep Markov in to be a fast leading mark option.

Make it as ugly as possible

Without lynch to partner jack i cant see us being able to compete with mcgovern & co aerially. Forfeit it & re-enforce our backline. Play the defense to Grimesy & vlaustins ultimate strength - being the 3rd guy up to spoil, intercept mark etc. Have both soldo & toby blocking in front of kennedy & Darling all day, then play chaos ball for the entire forward of the centre square. Run run run.

We have been a long way short of premiership football all season, if we hit our best (looking like a big if at the moment) going into the finals we will win it from any position.

Shortened season. A bye just before the end of h&a and again the week before finals.

Every chance of a neutral venue even if a lower seed.

Missing top four is less of an impediment this year.

But, yes, still easier if you make top four.

I think this week will be a litmus test ,

Eagles look to be on track , us not so much ,

I think we find out this week where we are really at

They are in form.
Older Farts like Kennedy and Shuey are playing well.
And they just recruit big strong kids.
Every kid they recruit looks like they have been in the system for 5 years.
The problem for us isn't just about scoring..there forward line to smoothered with A1 player's. Kennedy Cripps Ryan Allen
We need to be on with pressuring them with the ball

Lynch will be suspended, there will be outrage if he doesn't. Trial by media again.

Stand to be corrected but I think he's only at the tribunal due to the cumulative effect of his recent transgressions.
However, he's only 'on trial' for the heinous act he performed on Saturday night.

If there's any justice, they see it for what it was, a vigorous push off which slipped up to Hurleys throat who acted like he was being gurrotted!

Like seriously, 2 years ago we had Mitchell jump off the ground and elbow Goldstein to the back of the head behind play and they let it slide and of course St. Marcus fractured Haynes' larynx, didn’t he?

If we win this game it will be like winning Tatts. I really don't expect us to win, with or without Lynch. They are just so strong and we are struggling in every game.

We don't change the way we play. We go all out with the players we have. They are not invincible and missing Lynch is not going to be the key to the game. It is the back line with support from the midfielders in defending and pressuring the delivery into their forward line.

If Lynch misses, then we can play,
Griffths, ohh wait he is gone
McBean, ohh wait he is gone
Elton, ohh wait he is gone
Vickery, ohh wait he is gone
Moore, ohh wait he is gone

Castagnafield to full forward.

This thread, whilst respectful to my fellow PRE posters, is a waste of time. The matter will be thrown out in the first minute of the sitting. That’s not just my opinion, but the consensus across the media community this morning.

End of story. Move on.

Cornes and Whately fully supporting Lynch. Saying laughable, waste of time, not a reportable offence.....
Pretty much calling the decision to go to tribunal a joke, which it is.

The eagles nearly got beat at home last night - to the soft giants.

McGovern saved them.

They will sook it up again playing at metricon. They have a soft underbelly.

Just need Nank and Soldo to double team nitnat and stop mcgovern from taking 100 uncontested marks.

If Lynch goes we plug and play someone else.

No flooding or over-thinking.

The Richmond Way all the way baby
