Geary's an interesting choice, no thought of putting palmer in with Hasleby injured? Also, am I right in thinking that Jordan Lewis is missing the start of the season through suspension?

Cogs on the bench means you've obviously got a bit of cash saved up elsewhere on the ground. I just can't post my team, even though I know it's going to change before round 1, got a few blokes I'm trying to keep under wraps a litttle bit. God, I love this time of year :D
 
Don't forget guys, this Supercoach thread is different to the one that will involve a draft to create your team - even more challenging. No two teams with same player :eek:
 
braddles is right, Lewis, Crawford and Hodge are all suspended and will miss at least round 1.
 
The "Punt Road End" league is full (can always start a new one though).
I like the name "Hit Be a Truck", said with a Bob Marley accent:

Yeah Lewis will miss round 1. Thought about Palmer but alot of people are going to have him, thought i would try someone different. I would of had Hasleby if he wasnt injured.

Fair call, I'm happy to have palmer myself as it's all about how you use the trade when you finally decide to cash in his profit. I was interested in Geary as I know absolutely nothing about him. Palmer and Muston on the bench for me at this stage and Cogs on the ground, but I'll be monitoring his preseason pretty closely. Looks like there'll be a fairly wide range of young blokes to choose from for bench spots this year which is good, though it might make it interesting if a lot of them get early games, could make the downtrading a bit of a lottery later on.

Thanks MR, it came from the Doco they did for the centenary of AFL/VFL a few years back. There was an interview with an old player who was about to face South in a GF. They didn't even think they had a chance of stopping the Swans and the invincible Bob Pratt. As he got up on GF morning he opened the newspaper, and his line was priceless ...
"And I looked at the paper's headline and there it was. I thought 'cor blimey - Bob Pratt, Hit Be A Truck!"
