Hardwick press conference/Link [Merged]

Re: Hardwick press conference

have a listen to yourselves. You're all so easily won over.
We are way too emotional as supporters - there's way too much love for Hardwick.
I found 15/40 starting players today after reviewing the list.

Glad we have another era unfolding but, please, settle down.

Agree. He was good in the presser but I'll wait until I see results which extends to a big cleanout and developing properly for the future before I get too carried way.

There will be time enough for negativity soon enough.

I'm going to be Zen for a little while as I continue my countdown to Day 1, 2010. Like many other Richmond fans I went from "one sleep to go" to "364 sleeps to go" in about 30 minutes back in March.

My thoughts are pure for a while. You go ahead and think whatever you like.

Not negative TOT, just a realist. I joined PRE as an optimist and have downgraded to a realist, will never be a Darksider but, trust me, as a Richmond suporter you need to hold back on the hype.

Good stuff! ;D

I must say after the year from hell, I am going to let myself feel good for at least a day maybe two!

I think we deserve it! :hihi

You do the counting Freezer.

Can you confirm if this is Hardwick's first flaw?

Not counting just yet but don't want to hear too many "going to take the Richmond Football Club to their 11th premiership in the not-too-distant future", "I want to give the players every opportunity", "strive to be better players", "they've actually improved not only on-field but off-field" or "if I improve the list 10 per cent every year" (that one sounds awfully like a graph heading in the right direction statement) too many times before I start to.

Just borne out of nerves I'm sure.

Geez a lot more refreshing than listening to someone trot out the "16 goals a game, attacking style of football, unfinished business, waking the sleeping Giant" cleche's

Geez a bit harsh there.

What isn't a cliche then?

Actually, I don't need to do anything.

I just post nonsense on the internet to amuse myself. My frame of mind doesn't affect anything that happens at Richmond Football Club. If it did, then I would really be worried about the club.

As someone who was anti-Hardweeb bring appointed I thought he did ok at the press conference. He played the loaded questions from the journos - "timescale to reach a premeirship", "what will your philosophy/style be measured by" with the straight-bat cliches listed above. You can only trip-up at a press conference like that and he got through ok.

Although initially con, I am now a pro Hardweeb and hope he can bring the success we all crave.

Good luck D-man.

Re: Hardwick press conference

Just a stupid question here.

Daymo during the presser said how his phone rang and he didn't answer thinking it was someone from the media.

How does the media get their hands on these mobile phone no's? Do they have to ring the club first? Is there an AFL database directory? Always wondered about that. I am sure spmeone in the know will have a quick answer for me.

Cheers, dufus Glove!

(And FFS people stop calling him Dimma! Its Daymo.
Dimma = Dimattina! :duh)

They know people who know people. Usually friends that are now in the media and managers.

Also no it is Dimma, has been Dimma since his early North Melbourne days.
