Goodbye Mabior Chol

Will he be playing back or forward?
If Dimmers looking for an acceptable loss expect him in defensive 50

Reckon he'll play back. They have a tall forward line (Tippett, Buddy and Richards) and I think Grimes will go to Heeney, so I'm thinking:

Rance - Buddy
Astbury - Tippett (when forward) or resting ruck
Richards - Chol
Heeney - Grimes

Some doubt on buddy playing

Good luck today Mabior and congrats on your debut :clap

Probably not ready yet for AFL, and will probably go missing for large patches in this game, but I'll be keeping an eye out for those snippets of future stardom.

Only debuted because Showboat Hardwick wanted to see him against Aliir Aliir. Feel sorry for the kid to play his 1st in this debacle.

How is Chol to eradicate the nightmare, possibly recurring, of his debut game in the Yellow and Black.
A cringe-worthy effort from his senior team mates.
Hope he doesn't lose too many sleepless nights over it between now and the start of next season.

Train him in the 2's as a defender, plays well in the 2's as a defender, wins his call up as a defender, Dimma plays him as a forward for most of the game. Dimma logic.

Probably looking to see which airlines fly to Sudan

Mind boggling isn't it.

his hoover pick up at full speed was THE only good thing to happen all day.

How about just some honesty. He was terrible; often just avoided the contest. Had 2 kicks at 0 DE% somehow. Hardly believable. How do you miss the ball so much?
Most of the team were putrid. Anyone thinking Mabior or Cal Moore are ready for senior AFL are just as deluded as Dimma.

Early days but he looked pretty lost tonight. Was more disappointed at his one arm attempts at marking and general lack of intensity. Not much chase and no effort on the mark. Considering that the magoos are playing well, I would have thought some more fundamentals on show.

Agree. Certainly miles away even but the current Richmond low standards

When we say 'Play the kids' we mean that we should play people who aren't ready. Mabs got a game for a taste. It looks like he'll get another year. And he has an off-season to face some facts. That will mean working harder on and off the field.

Sometimes a youngster will respond to the bright lights, leon. Sometimes not. I think Chol will take a lot of development. But I hope we keep him.

Maybe, Jack, but Chol and Seymour are miles off it. When I saw both named I got straight onto the Swans at the slaughterline and had it covered by half time.

It's one thing to play Castagna and co as your kids but Chol and Seymour selections reeked of tanking to get pick 5. The thing is, Carlton were doing the same.

We must remember 12 months a go his playing in a shitty QLD sub standard football league, then his gone to playing in a state league team , where his improved dramatically and today he plays against the best team in the country. I saw the non body work earlier in the year , then I saw it coming into his play last week, patience and a good education, which he will get from Rutten and Rance, he's had a fine year.
