Goodbye Mabior Chol

A lucky lad to get a game after his last performance. I trust the forwards coaches have explained how a FF operates at the coalface for this week.

I reckon his ears would be still ringing after the rocket he got at half time.
Really want to see Chol in the face of the Lions defenders........the Cholface.
I've got him down for 3 goals.

Is a real worry. Doesn’t have the intensity for a high pressure game like a final. Needs to play the game of his life

If Chol plays a blinder, what happens in the next game when Lynch is back? Who would get dropped?

Let’s see what happens Baloo before we contemplate selection dilemmas.

Just win and we ALL hope Chol wants it bad enough and plays a blinder ....

I’d go total opposite I’d play Chol on Andrews with one instruction... don’t care if you don’t get a kick, your one task is to make sure that guy doesn’t

On that note..
A guy called Boston tiger tweeted to me last week that it was only the 2nd time in 167 games that crows key back Daniel Talia was held to zero marks. If Mabs competes enough that Andrews has no influence aerially then he's done his job for sure.

Someone must know how to make him angry so make him angry! Take his phones off him, poke him with a sharp stick, tweek his ears, call him ‘ may be arrr ‘ over and over, stick a finger....

When the boy jumps at the ball he looks like he could be anything. I’ve seen him do it at VFL level but for whatever reason he just lacks confidence to hit packs and fly for the ball at the senior level.. I loved seeing the footage of training this week with him, Balta and Jack using the bag to jump high for the ball. If he can bring “this” to his game tonight then he will have done his job. He will either clunk a few or at least create a contest. That’s what I’m looking for from him....just play a role.

Just remember what he did running down the wing in the Port game. He willed himself to every contest and showed some real fight and endeavor. That's the Mabs we want.

Maybe. But Lynch played behind last time we played them. It got Andrews a bit disorientated and lost in the contest. Definitely a ploy, as Tom normally likes the front spot.

Yes but Tom is a proven player and knows what he is doing. Chol cannot play behind, he gets too far behind and has poor closing speed due to slow pickup of the flight, and get shuffled back due to his light frame. He must try and play in front, bring it to ground, might even get a mark or two. Dixon had a poor marking night last night but he kept playing in front and brought it to ground. I'll be ecstatic if Chol gives that output.

I know he has only had 1 touch so far - but I am pleased with that first quarter from him. Good to see him halving contests - thats all we expect from him. Keep going.
