Golf

i'm lost for words.
my team & I...the journey...from the bed to the tele..
the heart-aches...my great grandfather passing when I was just a lad.. sniff...i barely remember him..
but oh the joy...hard to explain to non players...how much did u win?...no bets?...wtf?

Actual thanks for the contest.
It sure adds spice to the telecast ...quietly cheering & booing way more golfers than normal.

A well run competition would have a very strict handicap system , Lift Red

Probably find out in a month that Wyndham ( what sought of name is that ) was chewing on beta blockers , I’ve been shafted I tell ya.

Cam Young and Min Woo building nicely for Royal Liverpool

Great job again Red and congrats to cankles.

Gonna take the dart board approach next time. Although Sheffler should just about be an auto choice.

Who wins a chip and put shootout between the Water Closet and Cam Smith?

Lucky break for Rory, gets a free drop for his ball being imbedded in the face of the bunker on 14.
Yer, was surprised by that ruling. Given if it had not embedded, it very likely would have dropped down into the sand. The Snuffler (somehow!?) always gets very kind rulings on the PGA tour and got another one this final round to obtain a clear shot due to a phone tower that was in front of the trees his ball landed well back from. But surely the phone tower is portable?

He received some generous rulings at the Masters where he beat Cam Smith too just btw. Unfortunately, his putting atm is just not good enough to take full advantage. Tough.

I have been too tied up between some illness, car troubles and then resultant intense work pressures, along with trying to follow a crushing load of the sports I love - AFL and resurgent tigers, Ashes Test Cricket, and Major in golf, leaving hardly any time to get on PRE. So apologies for not being able to participate much until now when finally work pressure has eased greatly.
So thanks, Red, for organising and running again. When I could finally get on and check this thread this evening, I was secretly hoping I might have done better than I suspected. That shows that it creates interest and is fun.

Wish I had have stuck with my team from the previous major, allowing for some alterations due to some different players in/out:
- Cammie Smith - Tony Finau - Wyn Clark - Adam Scott - Luki Herbert - Min Woo Lee - Harry V-III -Nich Hojgaard .

Especially annoyed I dropped my lad, MWL and Clark obviously. Anyway MWL seems to be progressing even faster than I was hoping for with a bogey-free -3 round. Very impressive. And Cam Smith, again, could have won another major but for a couple of indifferent holes in Rd.3 especially.

Just hope the Aussie boys can hold up at the BO, but suspect Rory might be due to finally break his major drought.

Hope you’re going ok again now Leon Trotsky. Reckon your boy Woo Woo (or Woozy as he calls himself), will have a big BO.

Gun field at the Travelers Championship this week.
Ffs Keeg’s where was this form last week.

Looking at Rory’s swing back when he was winning majors , geez it looks better then now ( still bloody good) he just looked so much more natural , looks a bit like Byron now , bit too robotic stiff .

F**ken Adam Scott played like a busted....in the US Open, and then goes out the next week and shoots 8 under in the first round, I'm never picking him again:mad:

Thanks, Redford. Much recovered but attending Cotch's 300th - how could I miss that? - probably didn't help as already a feeling poorly. Aside from the game result and events, one of the lesser football nights I can remember at the G. Firstly, giving the Aints a 4 goal headstart. Then letting them back into it later 3rdQ too.
But most of all the rain coming into the SW stand getting us wet, bloody cold, then the horrendous 2:1 umpiring performance again! However, worth it to see all our great players and team stand up for the occasion.
Bounced back quickly after that! :D

Yep. He and a few others on my team going far better too. Gees, Scott could have had a 59! Bet he can't sustain it - his usual pattern these days. Day seems to be struggling since his big win.
Would be great to see MWL or Cam Davis go close or score 1st PGA win.
