'Hojgaard helps a couple of punters out with a turnaround score in round 2. Woo Lee and Herbert also bounce back."

As long as you selected the right Hojgaard twin! ;)

Great to see my Aussie young guns turn it around - I don't think Min has even lost a ball yet!

Some quite bizarre moments: Tom Kim taking time out for a bit of mud wrestling - what on Earth was he doing?
BDC hitting the Pigman with his ball as he was about to take his tee-shot, then saying he shouldn't have been there?

I thought JDay wouldn't back up after huge breakthrough win. Adam Scott proceeding to destroy his chances with just sloppy mistakes.

Anyway Scheffler looking the most likely, but just maybe, Hovland can score his first major.

I’m mentally caning myself. I got the cut off time wrong on Thursday, I didn’t think I’d get them in on time, so was going to put in pretty much the squad that I had in the Masters…………Connors, Hovland, Koepka, Straka, Theegala…….

Wish I had’ve

On a personal note , I have never won a club championships, mainly due to the fact I’d be in the top 3 % of golfers at ” not staying in the moment / choking” :)) In my defence I haven’t actually played in many and I had to compete with my super bloody good neighbour who won a Vic open and an Aussie Amateur in the early years . Anyway I’m in the lead going into the final round next week and just happen to have one of my best mates coming second , some how have to make it like a social hit with mates

Happy from any “ relaxing” tips , except from Rudeford who just tells me to take 2 beta blockers on each tee

Try chewing bubble gum. Even if you shoot 90 at least you’ll look cool doing it.

How dumb are some people. The chick from the PGA announcing the players on the 1st tee calls Shane Lowry “Shaun Lowry”. Jim Nantz on the tv coverage had to go into recovery mode.

You’ve got one job chick. A very very simple one at that.

Bloody Snuffler. I’ve got $1m on him at $8.50 to win this thing. What was he doing today ? Lift Snuffler !

I like the changes Hovland has made to his putting stroke. If that loopy swing can hold up under the pressure tomorrow, he’ll go close.

I asked a mate of mine (good golfer who is all over the PGA Tour and golf in general) who he liked as a roughie this week. He said Justin Rose. Wish I’d followed his advice.

Kupcakes and De Chumpo booed on the 1st tee ? Wow.

I got this tip from someone who is doing ok at the PGA Championship. When you are putting, curl and uncurl your toes.

Sounds bizarre but it takes away all the tension from your arms and hands while you do it. Works incredibly well.

Can get $29 on Rose.

Going to be a cracking last round of the PGA. Hoping one of the LIV guys get up to increase the pressure on the powers that be to solve the rankings mess. I like Koepka to get it done, think he will be galvanised by the disappointing end to the Masters, and I think DeChambeau could surprise with the softer conditions if he gets the driver going as he has been. Not sure Hovland has the ability to finish under pressure around the greens and can't see Connors standing up either.

Really hating the TV coverage. With Golf TV we used to be able to take the general early feed, now we are stuck with feature groups and all the wasted time waiting for two or three guys to hit. First round we spent 15 minutes waiting on the 14th tee, then they finally showed us Lowry up on the green having a mare. If I see that still shot of the creek one more time I'll spew up, needs to have at least two groups in the coverage to keep it rolling.

Gone under the radar a bit with the anti-LIV coverage but Mickelson made his 100th Major cut, joining Nicklaus and Player.

25 years of made cuts at Majors, an unbelievable feat from the greatest 50 year old plus golfer of all time. Shame the situation in the game has taken away from it.

Another tough round in the 2023 PRE PGA Championship. These first two majors have had some seriously rough weather. Nice to see these guys hitting 4 and 5 irons into par 4's from the fairway.

Everyone struggles in the 3rd round but some less than others particularly those with 6 or 7 players through the cut eg BT and Leonardo Da Vinci.

Hard to see BT getting caught but a decent battle for 2nd with MD, Leonardo and Cougar in it. tigerman not without a chance.

The field average for the 3rd round was 74.61 rounded up to 75 for a +5 score for anyone with a golfer not making the cut.

I’m one of the great pressure folders. Missed a 2ft putt that likely would have won a pennant final. Lost a B grade club champs after leading with 3 holes to go.
I did win 2 Agrade club champs but at a 9 hole club with about 5 guys off less than 6.
People say stuff like pressure is for tyres. That’s *smile*. It’s in every thought I had when nearing the final holes. Don’t hit it right, don’t chunk this chip, don’t miss this putt. So many terrible thoughts flood my head under pressure.
One thing I did try and it helped was to try and lighten my grip pressure when putting. Tried to feel the weight of the putter in the hands.
Good luck Mr B.
