Well I’ve cast my eye over the players these past 2 days and have come up with these winners. Have thrown a smokey in, Gordon Sargent, who looks real impressive. Was bombing it past JT and Homa on Monday arvo so I’m rolling the dice and giving him a chance.

Thanks for running Red, looking forward to the week ahead.

Nice Mopsy

Are you staying locally for the rest of the tournament?

Will be interested to see how your mounting yard pick goes.

In regards to punting my roughie is Talor Gooch to make Top 20/Top 10.

And I like Im to win and be Top 5.

As regards the actual winner, all the signs pointing to Rory breaking his duck, from Scheffler pushing him hard with Rahm always a threat. Smith in top 5 but appears to have dropped off a little in '23.

Hoping one of Day, Scott or MWL will also make top 10.

Flying home Wednesday arvo local time MD. Hit and run mission this one.

Worth it though, thoroughly enjoyed it. Hanging around outside the gates on Monday and scoring an early leaver’s ticket made it very worthwhile.

There's not much of Gordon Sargent, he could be used as a pull-through. He's got a fair bit of whip about him though, phenomenal club head speed.

Moops. What’s the story with the town of Augusta ? I’ve heard some people say that unlike ANGC, the town it’s itself is a bit of a dump ?

Yes or no ?

The cold No good for Tigers body

In short yes, it’s a bit of a dump.

I have stayed 3kms from the course on Washington Rd. Walked to and from the course each day. Not even a footpath to walk on most of the way. Quite a few sketchy looking characters along the way but they never bothered me.

Walking into Augusta is like entering another world. The course and grounds don’t seem like they belong in Augusta. It is the complete opposite to what you have just left. Maybe that adds to the charm a little.

I have only seen a very small sample of course. Downtown may well be very different.

People are terrific though, both on and off the course.
