Downhill, downwind, big bounce.....but still bloody amazing. Just under 400m.

He could dominate, best driver in the game and his game from 100 in as good as anyones. It's a great time for golf. Hope McIlroy & Day get back to their best, with Rahm coming through the depth of superstar talent is great.

Was talking to a mate at the pub last night about how far the ball goes now, it’s crazy. On the rare occasion I play now, due to modern equipment, mainly the ball , I hit it further then I did when I was young an fit and I garuntee my club head speed would be at least 20ks slower. Not sure where it ends

It ends on your 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th shots when distance is no longer the issue, but the ability to hit it cleanly and with a modicum of control is what’s required.

That’s how it is for me anyway.

I think technology in the ball has helped iron play immensely too Midsy, I remember back in the billy balata days spinning the ball of the front of the green all the time, even though irons, especially wedges haven’t changed a great deal other then the grooves, the way the proVs and the like just stop on the green now has made wedge play so much easier imho and just the consistency of the ball helps so much with distance and trajectory control

Wrapped for Jason Day winning his first USPGA tournament since 2016. After five playoff holes on the Sunday they had to come back on Monday because it had got too dark. Day birdied 4 of the six playoff holes, which is a pretty fair effort i would've thought.

Tiger finishing 26th was admirable. His driving was typically crap but his scrambling and putting very good. A year ago I would have said never ever ever another major but I reckon he could he could surprise at Augusta. Would be the greatest comeback story in history if he did.

He'll never win Augusta while driving like that. If anywhere punishes you off the tee, it's there.

It also has the most beautiful hole in the world:

Great pic Midsy, notice how close the 12th tee is to the 11th green and how 13 is pretty much behind the 12th green. As good as any spot in the world to watch golf from

Wrong. Woods, Watson, mickleson have all won there whilst driving it all over the shop. You just need a gun scrambling/short game and a hot putter.

The god damn yankee coverage of aussie golfers is disgraceful. Aussie golfer Cam Smith is 9 under one off the lead which is shared by Watson and Cantlay, he is playing with them. They show all of Watson and Cantlay's shots, and just the odd put from Smith, it p!sses me off.

Augusta is one of the more forgiving tracks for wayward drivers.

Yep. I just gotta miss in the right spots and have a great imagination. Norman always played well there because he had that imagination. Deserved to win one there. I missed the start of school many times following the shark. Still my favourite ever sportsman.

Same, was compulsory viewing on a Monday morning when the Shark was in contention on the last round. Saw what will still probably go down as the biggest choke in sporting history, 6 up in the last round only to lose it to Faldo...also the Larry Mize chip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvQa4fbETKU

The Shark had a way of losing the unloseable.

Enjoying watching Tiger and Spieth who were paired together at Palm Harbour in Florida. Not sure whether they would have played together too much if at all. Tiger has played quite well shot a 70, one under, Spieth not so well, a 76.
I've watched Tiger's last two tournaments, i think he is well on his way to winning tournaments again. The game of golf is better when Tiger is up and about.

I heard them say on the telecast they’d played together 7 times and Tiger had never beaten Speeth.

Tigers swing and short game looking the best has for along time, absolute disgrace what Sean Foley did to Tigers swing.

Cheers for that, i missed his round today after sitting up late watching the cricket. He's a freak Tiger, he must have had close to half a dozen swing changes over the years and here he is competitive again. Mind you he would never have held a candle to Greg Norman of the tee.

Nobody comes close to Norman of the tee, incredible combination of power an accuracy. 2 of the very best around the greens too, IMHO the only real difference between the 2 , is Tiger in majors rarely misses a must make putt, as for the Shark 8-

Was he the stack and tilt goose?
