My take on it...

Bloke got p!ssed, tripped and fell, passed out, got mugged, woke up in a panic thinking as a high profile person he needss a cover story. Makes one up without thinking too hard about it, now gets caught out.

Doubt it's anything too suspicious.

Reckon that nails it. Really I could care less, no one has been hurt except him by this ordeal. Amazed how much press it's got.
He's a moderately good golfer who told a porky. Big freakin deal.

He will now be able to appear in the next Hangover movie. It could be a nice career change. ;D

Moderate golfer ATM but been far better than that over his career.

You don't earn 29 Million US by being moderate.

27th best in history of the game by leysy's quick search.

But yes, weird event that had holes in it from the start. You get blind, make mistakes, you own up.

Interesting development in the Allenby case.

If he could putt he would have won a major. One of the best iron players of his generation.
Thing is he has never given a yelp in a major, doesn't have the game to match his ego when all the big boys are there too....amazing playoff record thou...without question our most arrogant sportsperson

Best wishes to Audrey Leishman, who is in hospital. Hubby Marc is a Tigers man and will miss the Masters as she recovers.

Hopefully she's OK and he's back next year at Augusta because he can play the track.

Jason Day primed for another assault. Adam Scott with his last-ever chance to win it again. Jimmy Walker big overs at 30s. Likewise, Louis Oosthuizen at double that quote. I'm on those two, Spieth and Na, at cricket score odds. Best four days of the year.

I think Day has been too hyped and put too much pressure on himself. Won't finish top 25.

Think Scott will do it again, and as you say Scotty turner unfortunately it's his last chance.

Bubba a big show again

I also think tiger will perform better than most are tipping. I reckon he will go top 15 at worse. If there is one place on earth he can feel comfortable its Augusta. He's the most mentally strong athlete ever to walk the planet, he might just get some of his mojo back here.

I got $15 for Jordan Spieth a few weeks ago, he has won and finished second in his last 3 tournaments. If he doesn't win i'd like to see Day win it.

Good start for Spieth and Day doing well.

Spieth is an amazing talent, i can see some good battles over the years with Scott, Day and McIlroy.

I've got Spieth in 3 and 4 leg multi's. I need him to finish top 10 in the Masters, into Carlton to win tonight, into Scissor Kick to run a place at Randwick.

The four leg multi is with Criterion to run a place at Randwick.

I've also got the same Multi's but with Melbourne to win, happy days if i can get any of them up.

Staggering golf by Speith. Top 10 no issue Tigerman.

The $15 would be $1.50 now?

Yes, it's his to lose.
I got up early to watch it but he had already finished his round.

So many young guns coming thru......good to see T Woo an Phil back at it

It's great to see Woods playing competitively. Watching him this morning he sure has got back that eye of the Tiger, good on him.

Just seems to still get a little stuck with the driver still ..goin to take awhile to get antifoleyated ......like to see Speith hold on, however I think Rose may rise. Reckon a day will come when Dustin Johnson blows a field away.....IMHO Day needs to focus a little more on putting scores on the board rather then talking about how great his playin......Rory an Tiger could be an awesome combo tommorow

How good was the up and down by Speith on 18? Doubles 17, misses the green on the side you can't afford to and he flops a difficult chip to 8 ft and drains the putt.

Reckon (and hope) he will hold on, should be another great masters monday (aussie time) though. Hopefully one or more of Phil/Tiger/McIlroy can go out in 32.

Totally agree......fair chance one of the big 3 will go low early
