GOAT Day thread - TIGERS Vs wees & poos hawkers

This was really noticeable. Stagnant.
It looks like a we are playing a rolling zone.
The players cover the ground and not the man.
That’s why it looks like we are not playing on anyone when the other team gets the ball.
Every time we get the ball we have to stop and kick it sideways and wait for players to come up

A couple of times we pulled out and dusted off the Terry Wallace corral. Player not moving, standing there looking at the man. Zero pressure. Disgraceful effort.

watched it on the couch with my son as he has the cold.

apart from the first 10mins we completely looked like a suburban football side.

no plan, no structure, not nothing.

Have been listening to the ABC call the last few weeks and I'm really enjoying Nathan Burke's special comments. That's big for me, because he is part the reason for my nickname on here. (Spud's giving him a Guard of Honour while treating Knighter so poorly IMO). But if you want to hear a former player being completely uncompromising on the way rules are being abused by players and the incompetence of the umpires in understanding it, I don't think anyone else comes close. He is ruthless. It's great.
And agree so much re Knighter wtf was Danny thinking - ps. I had moved on but now it’s flooding back

Just a random note that has nothing to do with yesterday's game. Young, well not so young for AFL, Matthew Coulthard looks ordinary in VFL after looking ok in AFL last year.

The 24yo has played ordinary in the 3 VFL games I have gone to this year. Disappointing.

this crack has probably already been said 50 times, so apologies for that, but with Ginnivan and Watson in the side, Hawthorn should change their name from the Hawks to the Ducks.

I've noticed an increase in this since the start of the year, clearly instructed, and I absolutely despise it
We aint got all the cattle back in the corral until then we suck it up till next year.

James Sicily is one seriously good player. Gun.
They had our measure. Cumbo playing on a taller defender, just couldn't get into the game. from our kick outs, the majority of time we went to Lynch. He was harassed with Sicily then the other spare tall took the mark. I couldn't understand why we didin't try the other side with Macca. Or instruct one on two in the centre (something to try. How we missed Myketi!

For a club that hasn't done to much in recent years, Hawthorn have got a few smug players and supporters.

even sang a song especially for Chol.
Chol is such a cat. All his goals were uncontested rubbish goals. Plays small, the way he celebrated like he just won a GF gave me the *smile*. Watch him shrink in a big game cause he does not relish a contest.

Nailed it.
