GAME DAY Tiges V Giants

Yo Dimma ain’t no cardboard cutout.

You can imagine someone like a Chris Scott telling his troops that a game like tonight is just another step in the process.

Not our red-blooded coach. You can bet we will roll out like a final tonight. Blood and passion.

I reckon the message will be the season starts now.

Better still, we have weeded out the cloggers over the past month and gone with x-factor.

If the players are anything like me, more up and about than I've been all year, it should translate to performance. Haven't been this fired up since the morning of 24 October 2020.

Same here Bris.

But which Richmond team turns up tonight is my query.

What I’ve seen this year I’m not confident and if we play a half as we have done for the most part of this year, well we all know what will await us.

We have to put time into Whitfield.
Can’t allow a lot of intercept marks uncontested by GWS.
Lynch & Jack have to have decent games. Would like Lynch up further up the ground and would like to see Edwards & Bolton alternating in midfield rotations , not spending chunks of the time just forward. Got to get Bolton more involved.
Hope MRJ with a game under his belt gets the pace of tonight’s game as it’s going to be a tough game.
Lastly Nank & CJ have got to work Mumford over and see if they can hit the scoreboard and where possible help to block space for Himmelberg & Hogan ( who always plays well against us).
The captain has to set the tone.
There are no second chances if we lose tonight.

Are we done or is there a pulse still beating?

What can Dimma come up with?

Yes, stop Whitfield and Kelly. I was expecting KMac (and/or Marlion) to come in to bully one of these guys up and down the ground...Hugo will have a big job tonight.

Huge game tonight for our kids.
Kelly has been in pretty good form and back tonight.

What a day to be going to the football. Perfect winter day. I'll meet you all at the London at 5pm.

GWS really should win. our movement going forward is putrid. When the ball hits the turf in our forward line we are putrid. Our tall forwards aren’t playing the best.

but knowing us, we will probably find a way to win.

Also hearing GWS are wearing that mint all-charcoal kit, which means we must be wearing our clash jumper.

we usually fire up in our clash jumper

Only way we'll win is to at least halve clearance/stoppage. We were made to look second rate by the bottom team in last week's game because of pathetic clearance coupled with being unaccountable to uncontested possession chains. If we're fierce at the clearance and play one on one, we may win.

Last time we played their mids smashed us in the first half but Baker, Dusty, RCD, Aarts and Graham managed to get on top in the second half.

we now have cotchin, bolton, prestia, edwards and lambert.

Norf's clearance dominance was on the back of Goldstein owning Nank at centre bounce. Mummy won't.
