Game Day - Tiges V Freo

Freo are well coached and play to instruction. Based on our last couple of weeks, I think we'll struggle but hoping to be surprised.

Pressure will be high, will grind them into ground and run out 3-5 goal winners and the media reports will headline “Tiger roar still strong”

I like Hardwick sides the week after an unlucky loss. In the past I've smashed us the week after we dominate I50 but lose. We're not quite that side these days but we will improve our Marvel play after a week of (rare) experience. We don't get two in a row there often and that's why we can'y play it.

I like teams the week after they lose their tall forward. I think they spring surprises. Noah Cumberland? I dislike them the week after that. No more surprises. That's one of the reasons I wouldn't mind seeing Junior a late in. Not to say Hardwick won't have plans.

Freo's weaknesses are midfield and inexperience. Mundy and Serong bat too high. Brodie doing that thing he does. Do we have the personnel to expose them? Can we stop their rucks running set plays on us? (Been pretty expensive for a month now.) They don't run em on a fit Ivan but is he that? Our mids need some aerial cover in this game. They cannot again be exposed to the aerial capitulation of recent weeks. Darcy can be got to but can play.

Usually I'd like Nank's chances of softening up the talented but very youthful Luke Darcy. It's well within Nank's grasp to lift. He is due to do that. By now RFC has had a clarification on Nank's CB contact/blocking. Jumping will help. If Nank can't do it Soldo and Balta will have to.

Dion improved last week and will probably do so again. Cotchin will be second up. Balt too. Hopefully still fresh.

It remains to be seen whether our experienced players can deliver enough to get us over the line against a side with emerging youth, run, structure and talent.

I have us black and white odds at the Dump. (1/3 at the G.)

My concern is we are going in too big.

Not sure we have enough runners on the field tonight.

A lot of late money on the Tigers, we are in to $1.86 favourites head to head.

I could get $1.95 on us about 4 hours ago.

Not sure I understand it. Can’t see any major late outs for the Dockers.

Interesting fact on Twang Russell's SEN show today. When we beat GWS at the Dump in mid-May last season, Dimma stated he doesn't like playing there, and the 4 games we played since were all losses.

He jinxed us :)) so it's time to break the drought.
So Dimma needs to come out and say he loves playing there.

Yep sorry about that, I put $100k on the Tigers.
