Big game tonight, hope to see you all there.

Freo averages about 10/11 goals per game. We average 14 goals per game, kick 14/15 goals whollah, Tigers win by 25+

If we add in defence, we leak 2 goals per game more than them. Meaning their goals average possibly shoots up to 12/13 goals.
Folks, we are winning this, worst case by 1-2 goals

Lynch isn't playing so goal averages come down.
I just want to see the team give it a red hot go which wasn't the case last week.
Not confident we can turn this around against a very good football side.

Thought Junior might've got a game, hope he's the sub.

If Cotchin, Prestia and Bolton have big games we can win.

Tiger by 17.

True but I expect others to pick up the slack. Last week let's face it had we kicked straight we would've kicked 15 goals +
The first-half pressure was only 160, 2nd half they ramped it up but too many misses cost us badly.
They are, but they can be beaten Oldie.

I reckon MJ will be the sub, as I cant see Ryan and even Dow being the sub. Mansell perhaps but we don't need another running back.

We need to find a way to win simple as that missing sodas is killing us and our lack of pressure and footy smarts other issues. We loose this time to play the kids.

We do seem to play better against better opposition.

If the last 2 games doesn't motivate them to lift then I don't know what will.

I'll be there but my daughter and her partner are not coming, off to the ground with no atmosphere so I suppose us fans have to work that much harder.

Bring the heat and we can win, don't turn up and it will be a long night.

Cold night at the Dump, can't do it. I go to all our home games at the G but swore never to go to the dump again.

8 of us going, always supporting the boys no matter where. 17 degrees today, dropping to 10-11 tonight, not so bad.

I really do despair about that ground.

It is hard to put a finger on exactly what the issues are:
  • It lacks atmosphere but why? Clearly the ground was designed for TV coverage but it just feels wrong - sterile for some reason.
  • The idea of having a retractable roof has merit, but did they ask for their money back when the architects perpetrated a monumental f*ck up by building the ground such that the angle of the sun makes it impossible to play a game there in the afternoon with the roof open?
  • The MCG is a concrete monster, but Docklands should be less foreboding in winter with the roof, a smaller set of stands etc . . . but it isn't, it feels just as cold as the MCG in winter if not worse.
  • Having a built up area around the ground as opposed to a park harms the atmosphere, although it shouldn't as there are plenty of good sports grounds in similar positions. Something wrong with the way you approach the ground.

VFL Park was colder, I'll grant that, and never had the atmosphere of the MCG, but it had more atmosphere than Docklands.

The one thing in its favour is that, like the MCG, it is in a great location, just wish they could work out why it feels all wrong, I'm not even convinced it is a great ground in terms of the experience of watching the game on TV .

I hate the docklands stadium.

It’s a lifeless vacuum nestled in a shell of corporate superficiality. If that man on the big TV yells at me the whole game like he did last week, I may need to bring ear plugs.

I’ve never felt any sense of occasion or atmosphere that doesn’t get filtered out through the concrete.

I’m always conflicted though, because it is so much easier and quicker to get the train there, coming from the north.

I feel like I haven’t been to the G in a month. I’m having withdrawals.

We generally sit on the wing, front row on level 2 for the one home game of the year at Docklands (I refuse to call it by its commercial name) and I reckon its the best viewing option for watching the game.
It's a steeper bowl than the G, so you're much closer to the ground on the second tier and can really hear the thud when a player kicks the ball and bumps.

I had the (unfortunately) perfect view of Reece Conca a few years ago when he dislocated his foot. Was right in front of me and very unpleasant. But you couldn't get a better view!

With all of that being said, I still much rather go to the MCG to watch the games because if rather see us win and have a slightly inferior view, than have a slightly superior view and see us lose.

And I'm not confident about tonight at all but just hoping that the players can find that hunger again and will themselves over the line. We showed that despite not playing well last week that we can generate the scores, even without Lynch and Dusty. Just got to kick em between the big sticks! But tonight's opposition are a better team than lolnorf so it'll take more than just kicking straight to knock them off.
