Game Day- Round 1 , 2016 - Richmond V Carlton

Rioli with five tackles already - good on the kid. Showing the way in desperation.

For what it is worth.

2 of our goals have come from 50 metre penalties right in front. Apart from that we have been inside 50 many less times than the Bloos.

Think he had 4 or 5 at quarter time. Good start. I just don't know about these long high bombs into the forward line. Not just him, pretty much every foray into the forward line.

Need to find a way to stop Murphy, Gibbs and Crips. God Morris with his massive stats of 2 posi's wont help.

22 inside 50s to 29. But both goals from 50s we were already inside 50 so no effect on Inside 50s.

Good game from Dusty and Tyro. Jack's *smile*ing around a bit....dunno why. We're just too messy and we'll never have a competent forward line under Dimma by the looks of it.

Bigger problem is BEllis with 3, one of which was a rank turnover.

Think u might have C and B Ellis mixed up. AFL site say B has had 7 - mind u not much better and very ineffective. Lot of our senior players need to get out of the summer relaxed and sleepy mode and WAKE up.

TF agree.

No system or cohesion going forward compared to Carlton.

Even transition from our of defence is just poor.

Hopefully we lift this half and shake them off!

Our midfield poor compared to Carltons.

Umpiring = Diabolical

Not great - especially that mark not allowed from Macca which cost us a goal but don't know that it has too much influence. Need to stop fumbling in and around those packs. Carltank hands seem fast and a lot surer and getting us on the outside too easily.

Probably why 'wrong' players like Morris and Chaplin were tried and failed, and yet Beano doesn't get a run.....I give up. Whinged about this flaw for long enough.

Yep Carlton's handballs have purpose and break lines, ours are just defensive reactions to the pressure from the Blues.

What a poor effort by Hampson to tackle Kruezer. Result goal!

Hampson can only tap ruck. Once it hits the ground forget about it. Around the ground to take a strong ruckman mark. Forget it. It is what it is, we all know his capabilities (or lack of).
