Game Day - rnd 16 vs Brions at the Gabba 2023

The lions aren't that good but yes it will be difficult with those outs. If we bring our pressure game and deliver smartly into the forward line we could upset them. Big test for Mini's coaching tonight but will be a huge statement if we can win

Better off kicking ground balls inside 50 all night.

Take their talls right out of it.

Full chaos ionside 50.

It would be a superhuman effort to win this, given all the factors against us.
Consider. No team has won after a bye. We have travelled 3 out of 4 games interstate. Must be physically tiring on the players.
No Prestia or Dusty and the dreaded umpires against us.
Before today I gave us a about a 331/3% chance of winning . Now I am down to about 10%.
Got too many negatives against us and remember the Lions are a class outfit.
Good luck guys and prove me wrong.

If we bring the intensity across the ground that we have produced since Mini took over and that Geelong game, we have to believe we are a chance in every game.

We travel well as a team - the GWS, Dockers and Crows games prove that.

I reckon the team that is more accurate in front of the sticks and takes their chances wins it tonight - that favours the lions as their forward line looks much stronger on paper, which is why every tipster is backing them to win, but their forwards can be a bit flakey and I think our defence is our secret weapon and clearly our strength.

We play the Gabba exceptionally well so I don’t think their home ground advantage gives them that much more of an advantage - a little but not a lot.

The lions clearly deserve to be favourites - look where the 2 teams are on the ladder - but I think the tigers will be more competitive than people expect - tigers by 13 (well more hopeful than confident really)

Lot of big outs for an interstate game against a top 4 team. Martin, Prestia, Lynch. Cheating AFL and their cheating umpires.

This’ll be tough.

If we had the 2022 version of cumbo I would be feeling a little more confident we can get close to a winning score.
He is such a confidence player. If he can get a few touches and kick a goal or two early we may still be in with some sort of chance.
Funny but I still feel we will be in this game tonight, not sure why but I do

The umps worry me more than the outs, hopper and marlion are not bad replacements

Whoever sits near the goals we kick to, please have your phone cameras ready from all angles to record every goal we kick as we need clear evidence to prove if this fARCe happens again.

No Lynch, Prestia or Martin. A too fresh Hopper. We're probably too tall but that's worked for Mini so far. Oh. Replacing the running Martin with pseudo tall Cumberland makes us very tall. Cumbo will have to run. I guess Marlion plays small.

Much prefer MoJu as sub. (We can worry abut development next week.) In fact, *smile* development, MoJu should be a late change in. For a tall.

Is it heroic coaching by Mini? Or is he sandbagging?
