Game Day RD 17 - Tigers V Suns

Aarts kicks a sitter we win
George kicks a sitter we win
MRJ, Pickett both miss easy shots we win
etc etc

Exactly, don't blame the first gamer. There were much more seasoned players missing shots too.

*smile* result for sure. Now looking at the after wash who would we like to meet and beat in the elimination final? For me it would be great to meet the Blues and give them payback for their last finals win over us,not to mention a possible record crowd to boot.

We need a better fitness bloke.
That's the 5th game we have had it in control and we found a way to lose
Carlton Stkilda Sydney Geelong and Now Gc.
We even hit the lead in the Adelaide game and we went on to lose.
Our players have looked off the pace all season and recurring hamstrings to key players reeks of desperation bring blokes back too early and not managing them properly.

The Richmond FC has been hamstrung by its hamstrings this season.

Lynch, Prestia, Dustin, Balta , Cotchin, every @##@@#$ week it seems someone is doing their hamstring or doing it again.

Oh well. How many teams can say they've been beaten twice by the Suns by a kick after the siren. We are one of a kind!

Cop that oppo supporters!!!!

Time to circle the wagons. Someone needs to slap Hardwick with a fish as he is having undying love to loyal drones flashbacks.

No sugar coating that - as bad a loss as it gets. Really wasting this season and Last Dance year for this group.

They were good enough to contend but that’s done now - injuries, ageing champions, complete lack of depth underneath, poor coaching - clearance issues unaddressed & lack of ability to close out games after big leads & poor on field leadership. All adds up to what we’re seeing.

Shame as the ability is still there amongst the core. Could have won a fourth flag, but time to reset the list and way we want to play into the future.

Let's make 8 first.
Reckon that looks shaky right now.

Have tigers got it wrong with triple flag hero, Lambert,450000-500,000 to end up playing 6-7 games,it's obvious we should of called retirement due to a unplayable injury that either u don't play again ever if u have the op or as is, just can never play, not his fault, bad call.

I mention *smile* Balstuin who is just as much to blame as the players in the park with his weak effort last week meaning he wasn’t out there to help. his Selfish act contributed tot the loss just as much. Selfishness in our team is our undoing.

Besides the obvious Jack and Tom, do we have any forwards that can actually mark the f*cking ball??????

Full bellies. No hunger. Climbed the mountain 3 times; can't be *smile* doing it again.

I guess it's understandable but still eminently disappointing.
I think that’s what it comes down to. Too many players can’t/won’t do the extras - things we did as a matter of course 2,3 and 4 years ago. Age catches up with everyone, and when the manic hunger isn’t there anymore (and those stepping up aren’t as good), nights like tonight happen.

Disappointing to say the least, but I’d still take the three Premierships followed by a few years of mediocrity.

Questions will rightly be asked if Dimma is the right man for another rebuild.

Its not an aberration. Its been an issue even when we were winning flags we would switch off in games for 10 minute periods.

The West Coast and Gold Coast Losses last season killed us off in the same way.

We coughed up leads of 5-7 goals plenty of times this season, and its a distinct lack of application and a distinct arrogance and lack of mental concentration.

Complacency and Poor conversion.

All on the Players foremostly but the coaches arent seeming to be reacting either.
This has been happening as far back as the 2012 gc game and the 2013 elim

I think we have to accept that as long as dimma is coach we will struggle to hold leads , win close games and play with composure..
Its clearly a flaw in his coaching i think

what i find disappointing beyond the obvious ...

it was Marlions 50th, Broadys 100th
it was a game to cement us in the 8 and move into next week against the Roos and cement again
it was a ground we know well - won the last 11 there
it was a pathetic final Q that was coached and played badly

I can’t work out why we weren’t running the clock down with a few minutes left. Every player who got it seemed to rush to kick it. It was really amateurish.

The forward line is a big concern going forward.
Can only think they’ll play Gibcus forward and Balta back next year.
