FYI 2019 Grand Final - RFC Priority Groups/AFL Grand Final Ticketing

Yep, similar here, think that's just the ballot

Tickets: 1 x C2ADT
Section: BALLOT-OPT1/ Row. GA
Seat/s.976

Not holding out much hope

I think you might be right.
I've actually managed to score a ticket from elsewhere, but was confused about this stupid Ticketek system.
Dont stress I think you will end up with a ticket. As others have said, a proportion of gws tickets will be re-distributed to Tiger members.
Remember we are talking about a club with barely enough supporters to fit into a toilet.

Priority 1 have all been allocated a ticket (Guaranteed)
Priority 2 and 3 were then distributed the remainder of the allocation.

Important Information for those who have missed out or did not register (Thanks for the heads up Ian4) below

Secondary Grand Final ticket on-sale:

Eligible Club members who were unsuccessful in the ballot or did not register will have the opportunity in a potential secondary on-sale, should there be remaining tickets at the completion of the GIANTS ballot.

The secondary on-sale is open to eligible Club members on Tuesday, September 24 via Ticketek (pending ticket availability), from 11:00am - 1:00pm.

Please note, this is not a ballot system and will work as a normal on-sale via Ticketek. To have the best chance in securing ticket/s, eligible Club members will need:

1. Your Ticketek login details
2. Your 12-digit membership barcode (found on the back of your membership card). If you are purchasing for friends and family, please have their 12-digit barcode number ready too.

Members wishing to sit together must register their group in one transaction using one credit card. There is a maximum of 8 tickets per transaction.

Availability of tickets, including the category of seating, is solely dependent on the amount of remaining tickets (currently TBC). For access to secure a Grand Final ticket, you must login to Ticketek or call Ticketek on 132 849 between 3-5pm AEST, Tuesday September 24. Under no circumstance are tickets sold through the Club.

Please note, there are no junior ticket prices available for the 2019 AFL Grand Final. If you wish to buy a ticket for a junior, please buy a concession ticket.

Tickets will be allocated via ballot on a next best available basis, and therefore members can receive a Category 1-7 Reserved Seat, Restricted View seat or Standing Room ticket.

Not sure what they mean by from 11am-1pm then the 3-5pm on the same day - doesnt make sense to me.

I've got 5 seats in M29 row JJ which i'm guessing is back under the stands ground level. (36 rows back)

Was about 10 rows back ground level last time, but as least we got seats. (Priority 1: 3121 Platinum)

I'm in a JJ, in my ba
Sure? I thought they changed Seat to Ticket in 2018

I rang the club. They said all P1 would get a seat and didnt have to choose the first option (i.e it didnt matter) as we wouldnt get standing room.

If any P1 got a standing room ticket, I'd be ringing the club. Three of us rang over three days in the lead up to the ballot to confirm.

We cross all t's and dot all i's when it comes to ticketing...........trust me.

Got mine M3 undercover. Cat 3.

But I am pissed with the RFC and I have let them know. I have 2 memberships - Maurice Rioli and full AFL membership. Apparently this only entitles me to one GF ticket even though I have paid for 2 memberships for this very privilege.

I don’t want to sound like a greedy bastard but I paid for this privilege. I had no issue in 2017.

My second ticket was for my son. He too has a membership on his own but is Priority 3. So knowing I could get two tickets I always thought that I could still get him a ticket.

Thanks for copying and pasting the info about secondary ballot, MackTiger. A bit annoying they’re doing it this way, especially as it involves more tense Ticketek logging in during what, for most people, will be work hours - I don’t see why they couldn’t just choose more numbers from the ballot. I also hope when they say ‘eligible’ members this is still Gold members and they’re not just opening it up to the thousands who only joined up after 2017.

I re-read, been a busy day, looks like 11-1 is online, 3-5 via phone - just made sense to me then.

I'm presuming for example if i wanted to try and get a better seat, my barcode would already be voided.

Agree 100% - I'm peeved.
It's unclear what an eligible member is (1st year member???)
Why not just run the gold members through the ballot instead of this crap, at 11am no less.
