Franklin

Looks like his head has got bigger than Eddies!!!

Would rather do the miracle stuff than the basics.

Alls well that ends well. For all the calls that we should have taken him over that 'other' bloke. We would probably now be without Cotchin, Martin, Riewoldt and Maric!!

I reckon he's dropped off ever since the 'buddy ball' came out - must be blinded by the royalties rolling in.

I'm amazed that some who is such a bad shot for goal, is attempting to teach kids how to kick!!

It's like Brian Taylor teaching someone how to commentate.
 
Over rated by hawthorn and the media.

he is a bullish thug who if he was as good as the hype around him he would be sitting high on the coleman tally, kick goals week after week and not look so unfit, lazy and disinterested.

with the ball carriers hawthorn has he should be doing more.

a bit like our own jack....he needs to elad his defender to the ball and not rely on one on ones anymore.

I always think he is the type of player that when you are supporting the opposition you keep quiet as he is just as likely to break free for 15 minutes and kick 3 or 4. Rance played a great game on him and got into his head a bit I think.

He is a match winner and will do it again but he would be an even better player if he could mark over his head.
 
I enjoy watching Lance play when he's on song. He's obviously down on form but he's capable of being a very exciting and dangerous opponent imo.
 
HE is unique that he CAN be an outright match winner, but is delivering this form too infrequently. I don’t think you need to highlight to Richmond fans the pros and cons of having such an unhealthy reliance on a BIG powerful forward who is a bit wayward in front of goals.

He has kicked (2012) 21.36 from 9 games at a conversion of 36%. The lowest of any AFL player in 2012 who has kicked over 11 goals.

I think we get caught up with his incredible feets, tight angle dribbles through the goals and not enough on his VERY poor conversion from basic set shots.

No doubt he will kick 6-7-8 one night and win the game of his boot.. again back to the Richo days!!!
 
He will win a game for them in a few weeks and all his *smile* games will be forgotten. Same goes Cyril.
 
Reality is his flaw is very similar to Richo's during his career. Can win you games but his poor kicking equally can lose games. While no angel, I think Jack's straight kicking (obviously started slowly this year) makes him a better team forward.
 
I used to always wonder what it would have been like if we hadve grabbed him in that draft in the early years,

Can you imagine him and Richo together in the same forward line ....... Madness
 
While I loved, and still love, Richo to death, I always wondered what it did to team morale when he had one of his bad days/nights. Same story with Franklin I'd think.
 
Couldn't resist on Saturday when Buddy missed a sitter. Yelled out "Tambling would have kicked that". Even the Hawks supporters laughed.
 
He is Richo Mark2.
How people can say he is the best player in the comp is just insane.
He is so over rated the Hawks got very luck and won a flag.
If you can not kick the ball you can be not number 1.
 
Everyone will be saying how good he is again when he is in form. Let's be honest, he is a very good player and will always cop it when he is out of form. Much like our Jack.

His kicking is super off at the moment. I mean SUPER.
Doesn't even look like it most of the time and the stats back it up.

I wonder if his split from his girlfriend last year has had anything to do with his drop in form.
Struggling big time and Rance made him pay.
