He just sounds frustrated. Of course we are going to see sport this year. Understand he’s switched off from footy but he,ll quickly switch back on when it returns.
Jack being real.

To be honest the players need to GAGF on all of this.
They've been nothing but a spoilt, self-indulged, out of touch bunch of wankers throughout this entire process, the ones we have heard from publicly anyway.
When you opt for a career in professional sport it is sacrifice and reward. Everyone in the various industries make sacrifices, whether it is lifestyle, the times and hours they work, the scrutiny, the travel, the physical demands or the mental pressures.
Countering that is the rewards, which are huge; financially, in contra, in fame, in opportunity and in work/life balance.
For the players to complain about the prospect of being in hubs is truly pathetic. We will miss our families for a few months.
Well boo hoo, ask an Australian cricketer or pro golfer or tennis player about that. And then think about how many people in the industry are stuffed at the moment and how getting some footy on will be the difference between them managing or having their lives in ruins.
Think about all the people out of work in all this who would give their right nut for a chance to work, not be sooking about a short stay away from family.
The indulgence of AFL players has long been accepted in things like the 'go home' factor, people never seem to question why a grown man needs to run back home to mummy and daddy after a few years working away. I've moved three times to three states in 10 years for employment reasons, taking kids each time. Welcome to life.
What the players need to do is shut up, listen to what they are told and get out and play footy, in any form as soon as they can.
Not sure why anyone would complain about a month away from the family at this stage. To be honest the players need to GAGF on all of this.

ClickbaitJust refreshed News.com and saw the headline "AFL announces season return plan". I thought, great, let's see what the plan is. Opened up the page and, sure enough, the announcement is that the AFL plan to announce something later in the month. WTF was the point of that?
The families and small kids argument holds no water for me. People with families and small kids go overseas to fight wars, these guys are going interstate for a couple of months to play some footy.
They are essentially at zero risk of any health concerns and will be in an environment that will be closely monitored and have all precautions taken to ensure corona virus is unable to enter.
They have a chance to spread a lot of joy to fans, go a long way to ensuring footy's future and help restore the income for a lot of people in the industry.
It really is the least they can do.

The way I have heard it there will be centralised medical teams shared by all the club so most of us will still not be required.

Single parent families, FIFO families and shift workers all do it day in, day out.
And ww2 many men were forced to go to war,if u can't do such a small tiny thing as staying away from family for a month in order to help many others get some income, then your a out of touch big big income earner whom doesn't understand players like marlion, and many on much lower incomes on bottom 5 of list incomes, for them it's a I must must play as I'm not on half a million,I'm on a fraction of that, many friends I know work 4-6 weeks away from home as it's their chance of a decent income, now all players must give back in order for many to prosper.I think comparing people going to the war is a bit silly. People sign up to be in the military knowing that is a huge possibility and they and there family know this. They are also well looked after financially for each tour they do.
