Thanks Freezer. Shame that 80s skirts were long.

hmm sounds good whats it about oldie.

HBO series about cops, drug dealers & crooked politicians in the US city of Baltimore.
It's better than it sounds.

Very well written with great characters but it's a slow burner which some might not like.

Personally I'll go so far as to say it's the best TV series I have ever seen but it's best on DVD.
There's plenty of folks here who'd agree. :fing32

I'm pretty sure you'll like it but my advice is to give it about 3 or 4 eps before you make up your mind.
It doesn't start with a bang.

 Damn, there I was thinking that Jennifer Hawkins was hot.

Had the pleasure?? of watching the footy show love last night. (thats 2 hours of my life I will never get back).
Should realy be renamed THE CATTY SHOW. no longer Collingwood, but every thing Geelong. Comparison of Gary Abletts. Browless, Ling & J. Brown on panel. Raving over Selwood. and a panel quiz on life and times of C. Ling.
Before HD TV, at least we could record it and watch on fast forward the next day..wont be falling for that again in a hurry..

Sounds like it was as bad as last week

As a contrast, watched the opening 10 minutes of the NRL Footy Show. It saddens me to say that in NSW (the spiritual home of blokey humour and guys dressing up as women) they opened up with a very serious and sensible piece on the latest NRL off-field drama. They showed the camera-phone footage, they talked about how bad it was and how stupid the player was, and then restarted the show.

No joking, no making light of things, just canned what he did and moved on. It just feels morally wrong that their show is now the slick, professional effort that ours once was, and ours is a piece of *smile*.

Mate, if you can't get into The Wire there is no hope. Leave the planet now. :) Seriously, best show since Deadwood and Sopranos (and likely better than both). DVD is a must as you can at least turn the subtitles on - required (for me, at least) when the gangs talk street language.

Not the same without Trevor Marmalade.

Actually, I reckon its EXACTLY the same as with Trevor Marmelade. Equally as unfunny .

I've given up on the footy show. Lyon, Brayshaw and Newman don't work as a trio in my opinion. It's one of those TV shows...if you do actually watch the whole thing, you think afterwards....why did I watch that?

The Marngrook Footy Show

Starts back tonight at 8:00 till 10:00 in Channel 31.

Best footy show on the box (except the overuse of the work 'deadly'), and for tired eyes, Kylie Farmer is easily the most attractive thing in footy.

If you watch this first, you'll probably turn the other 'footy' show off after a few minutes.

And this ! >:D

Excellent work people

Agree, I couldn't believe that Trev was getting a six figure sum for dishing up his 8 mins of rubbish each week.

The show needs a total facelift and/or to be axed and replaced with something superior.

It has to get at least slightly better once the season starts and they have 'real' games/issues to talk about.
