Finals Week 1: The acid reflux games.

The narrative is in, Maynard is innocent. Just ask Ryan Mansell…..

Yeah based on history Maynard has to be suspended. They've proven that you don't need to "bump" in the traditional sense for an action to be regarded as a bump. Maynard could well find himself out of the entire finals series as if its regarded as a reportable offence then it will be severe impact because of the impact on Brayshaw and how he was completely open and unprotected.

How Is Dangerfield on Ch 7?

Worse, commenting on the Maynard / Brayshaw incident?

“Nothing in it. What else could he do. Maynard was protecting himself and could have left himself open” “ Had duty of care to himself too and turned his body”.

Should have asked him where was his when he got off the ground and knocked out Vlaustin?

BTW did anyone else pick up the irony of Paddy Dangerprick making comments on a player that had knocked another player out early in a final.

I guess he has experience.

He should go…but won’t. Finals you see, they don’t like making the hard calls.

Melbourne’s forward entries are kaka

If they keep bombing aimlessly it will get picked off all night.

Maynard jumped off the ground to try and smother the ball, he then turned his body to protect himself and got Brayshaw high. Mansell was trying to protect himself too, Maynard should get rubbed out, but he wont.

The thing also was Maynard seemed to not forcefully but his head ( in a head butt action ) into Vineys head??

No HTB against the Bots. Flogs in full love with the black and white.

Initially I thought JVR was ok, but reckon he caught McStay flush on the jaw when seeing the replay. Gone for next game too I reckon.

If Melbourne can figure out how to take a mark inside 50 they'll win this. A few Pies shortstepping (Lipinski, McStay) and diving (Mitchell, McStay). Conversely, Jake Bowey has been great three times at least with his attack and use.

Should've played Grundy just to give it back to the Bots.

All-Australian Josh Daicos. A wet lettuce leaf.

It was funny how BT was waiting for his first touch, makes it obvious and then he kicked it straight to Hibberd. Panics under pressur.e
