About to make the drive down there. Will be shattered when we take him over Grundy and a few others.
Hope you have a great experience mate and just keep in mind... forest, not trees! :)

I still think our biggest need is for a game-breaking CHF. If Griffiths or Elton can step up and play that role that's great but I would keep putting more irons in that fire until we end up with the next Wayne Carey. Riewoldt, partnered with a bullocking, skilful, monstering beast would be the scariest forward line in the league.

Do you think there is a young'n in the draft who could become that player TOT70?

Nonetheless, if you have a couple of ruckmen who can't play forward then you are down on rotations for your midfielders, which causes major problems for most teams.

Grundy can play forward. In 4 years time he and Vickery would be able to switch 60-40 between ruck and forward and prove a very hard match-up.

Some clubs still persevere. I'm pretty sure that Mumford went into the GF with injury concerns that flared up during the game and led to his substitution. They may not have had much choice if they couldn't rust his body. WC have the best ruck division in the league with Cox, Niknat and Lycett and they do OK as well. I take the point that some pure second rucks are still running around.

Don't get me wrong. I would take Grundy and laugh all the way to the bank. From what I have seen of him in the U18 champs this year and last, I think he will be a star. If that causes problems with our other rucks, I'd still live with it. It would be a good problem to have.

Imagine if GWS get Stringer to compliment Patton at Full Forward. There's a devastating CHF & FF combination right there.Watch out in year's to come.

Would love Grundy but also have a feeling that Vlas is being somewhat undersold on here.

I don't know them well enough to comment, really.

From the U18 TV games that I watched I would say that Grundy will be a star, Vlastuin was very impressive, Jaksch looked very good, as did Daniher and Boyd, who is too young this year, Hrovat, O'Rourke and Viney all looked like 200 game mids.

There weren't too many monster forwards around, maybe Hogan? Membrey looks too short but he might be a possibility. Boyd, if he goes on with it next year, might be that player.

Dummies are already being spat and the draft hasn't started yet.

Its going to be a fun night.

No doubt.

We never let the fact that we are clueless prevent us from second-guessing the professionals and throwing the toys out of the cot when they do something from left-field, which no doubt is really right-field for those who actually know what they are doing.

Footy forums. Ya gotta love them.

If that's your idea of fun, then I'd hate to be you.

How about contributing something useful to the discussion? Don't think anyone has claimed to be an expert on here but we all have our favourites.

Yep - KRISTIAN JAKSCH.

Would be my pick as I reckon this lad has 'it'.

Has played forward and back...and is a mad Tiger (not that that matters eh?)

Will bite us on the ass - again.

wouldnt be surpised if we took jancks as our biggest hole is CHF, if he is not considered good enough then im happy with Vlas..... a warrior to take the heat off lids and chimp
not sure we need a ruck at 1st pick... just take a rooky for back up

if we pick Jaksch I'll fair dinkum ...

...on the other hand, once we assemble all these died in the wool tiger supporters into the one team,

I've already mentioned my favourites. Grundy, Wines, Garner etc. If we do go Vlastuin then so be it, I won't be spitting the dummy (unfortunately for Baloo).

Just tell us what makes Wines a better kick than 'throw it on the boot' Vlastuin?
