Collingwood having 3 top 20 picks is the stand out for me. Finished 4th and now has chance of getting 3 good kids and to make things worse Hines baked beans dosent make too many mistakes either

Some late mail from Quayle is that we could be taking Grundy with pick 9.

Hope not, there players ready to go round 1 2013, not round 1 2016

I really dont get the impatience Zipper?

The thing about Emma's frist round this year is she pretty much says "I havnt got a clue"

I respect Emma's opinion alot, but I reckon this year she knows about as much as the rest of us.

How do these people get this into anyway? She just rings up Frank and Frank goes oh we're thinking about Grundy now. I find this hard to believe.

Weren't we strongly linked to some player for ages two years ago until Conca the day before? Do the draft followers think 'Tigger' is a smokescreen or real deal?

We're not a fnals side, if we have to count on any of our first year players playing 20 odd games a year.

We did that in the past as we wanted to fast track our team for 2013, or a season we were seriously going to make a charge.

I think its a good sign if we can draft a gun, but not have to expect him to be a saviour in his 1st year. Also we need to develop our ruck stock for the future.

I'd be happy to take him, if hes that good a ruckman, even if we don't play him. drafting shouldn't all be about the now.

Grundy at #20 is a big stretch.

A few Port supporters are going to be surprised, though Wines would be a great pick-up for them.

They hang out at the bar at the coolangatta airport (all journos are alcoholics), read threads on PRE, make it up if things are slow, phone a friend etc etc.

Yep. This is what Emma has to say about our pick..

8: RICHMOND - NICK VLASTUIN

THE RATIONALE:
The Tigers have been linked to ‘‘Tigger’’ for a long, long time. He would be another hard, reliable addition to their young midfield group.

THE COMPLICATION:
There was some late mail for Brodie Grundy, should Port Adelaide let him through. The Tigers also have some interest in defender Aidan Corr.

Brett Anderson (Inside Footy) had mentioned the other night that he'd seen some tweets that we could be going for Jaksch.

Hard to know - what if Wines falls because Port want to draft a local boy like Mayes or Grundy and Brisbane take Menzel maybe - do we take Wines/Menzel if either are available?

I think what the Dogs do is going to determine the next 3 picks after them

Theres a few blokes reckon Jaksch is the best big man in the draft, daniher included. Even though he sounds like he should be playing for carlton (I think of Jon Dorotich for some weird reason), I'd be chuffed with him at 9. I think you are right, what the dogs do will determine what happens after them, but what GWS do will determine what melbourne to which will determine what Port do which will determine what dogs do. This draft is a doozy. I cant wait.

I'll be disappointed if we "reach" for a player and others like Grundy and\or Wines are available as some of the journalists have said. We don't just need average joes who are solid citizens. We need to draft some guys who can win games of footy as well. We can't just expect cotch, lids or martin to do it all in the midfield.

I want us to take the best player available.

Awesome entertainment. I cannot believe I'm going after spending the arvo at Dreamworld/White Water World!
Have a great day *and awesome* afternoon mate. Hope it is a real blast!

Quick question though... what are the kids up to today? :)

Apparently Vlastuin hasn't been invited to the draft!!

... what the hell is going on

Vlas's twitter stated he didn't have foxtel the other day, so who the hell will be up on the stage to get the mighty Tiger's jumper at 9? :spin
