Dylan Grimes JDM

Henderson was all over him like acheap suit on the goal line a couple of times.
Teams definitely putting time into him.
Yeah, those ones were obvious (not to the umps?) on the telly so I wondered if there was a lot more of going on? I imagine it will be talked about behind closed doors this week. Will we be wearing the bright yellow jumper again? ;-)

Ah Grimesy, always been such a dependable player, took it to a new and even higher level this year. GWS tried to nullify him, but he just continued on and on. The grimey grub legend continues to grow

Played on two Camerons in the finals. One is a gun small forward and the other a Coleman winning key forward. Towelled both of them up.

Is there a better all round defender in the game? I doubt it.

Possibly, but since his name is Alex and he plays for us, I really don't care.

All Aus and another premiership, well done Grimesy.

Rance is the best key defender for sure but in terms of playing on anyone it’s Grimes for me.
Doesn’t matter, we have both

Been viewing all the player Grand Final Recollections on RFC.com, the one from Dylan is my favorite by a fair way, bought a few tears to my eyes, what a quality person!

Remember all those years ago we all thought that an injury prone Dylan would probably never reach more than fifty games in his career? Now look at him and thank the German treatment and our medical staff for giving us such a durable, brave, committed and skilful player who is at the heart of our success. To top that lot he is a thoroughly decent and good bloke

listening to trade radio and Del Santo was comparing the gain to their teams of Kelly and Rance.
He said that Kelly would be more important. Fair enough it's only an opinion.

It did however make me realize that amidst all the talk about Rance coming back is the assumption that Grimes will just go back to being the forgotten backman they've always seen in Grimes.

"Oh yes. Rance comes back and Richmond get their backline of the past two years again."

No, we get an IMPROVED one since EVERY player has stepped up in Rance's absence.
They're all going to step back again. Sure, dream on.

I'd like to buy that german hammy specialist some peach shnapps with a giant stein of beer chaser.

Yep Grimey goes back to being unnoticed, which allows Vllastuin to drop a spot back into obscurity and play loose and Broad goes back to complete annonymity as a stopper and covering defender which gives our backline that great flexibility to take all comers with Grimes and Broad also able to play small.

Rance will come in and a small will move out probably Baker.

Yep bring it on I say, its gonna be terrible for us.
