He finished the year really well. It was Timmy T then daylight well into the season. Dusty might need to train to peak fitness earlier in the season.
They can kiss my ass. What would be an appropriate return for a player like Dusty if he was to request a trade this off season?
Listening to people in the media, they bandied around a 2nd - 3rd rounder. Surely that's not right?
He's our best player, and despite being 32, given he is in contract, I'd expect us to demand a bit more than that.
I have never wanted to engage in this kind of chat- but the noise is getting louder. You've got to be pretty naïve to think that every single journalist is making it up out of no where.. there has to be some truth to it
The thing most of them seem to ignore is that Dusty is still under contract. The Suns can’t afford to fit a large chunk of his salary under their cap, and we’re not going to pay most of it to see him running around for someone else. The other option is to trade. They want to keep their picks for academy players. I can’t see how a deal that satisfies all parties gets done. Then, I also don’t think Dusty has any intention of doing anything other than playing out the final year of his current deal with Richmond. Then we’ll see what move everyone makes. There’s only a few clubs that would part with a r1 for dusty , clubs that can rest easy with the comfort of a pipeline of academy pics incoming from year to year , tbh nothing would surprise me with the man of mystery
Could even be that Dusty goes 300 games, 3 flags, 3 Normies, yeah nah that'll do me, thanks for comin Yellow n Black. Then waddles his fat arse off into the sunset. Not much left in the way of personal milestones for the Dusty one to achieve so he may even simply pack it in after next year. Then, I also don’t think Dusty has any intention of doing anything other than playing out the final year of his current deal with Richmond. Yeah, that could very well happen, too. Be extremely Dusty.Could even be that Dusty goes 300 games, 3 flags, 3 Normies, yeah nah that'll do me, thanks for comin Yellow n Black. You are a long time retired and football is his thing.Could even be that Dusty goes 300 games, 3 flags, 3 Normies, yeah nah that'll do me, thanks for comin Yellow n Black. Being retired for a long time is true, but in Dusty's case, being a millionaire, it does not matter. You are a long time retired and football is his thing.
I’d more back the I’ll make it to 400 games mentality whilst still delivering class footy. That would be some challenge. And the captaincy challenge still out there too.
Only time will tell.
There is not one club who will take on his contract as a rising 33 year-old. There is no way Richmond will contribute to his salary if he wants 2 leave. Dusty may want to play elsewhere for a variety of reasons but no club will be prepared to pay $1.4 million for a potential one of two season sugar hit.Vintage Dusty last 9 games. he stays or we want the Earth the Moon and Stars to trade him.
Only 2 that probably would be willing to as it would help their brand is the Suns & Giants, But salary cap restrictions would not allow them to.There is not one club who will take on his contract as a rising 33 year-old. he stays simple as that

Nice one CaroAnonymous sources have told me, Dusty will either stay or go. They said if he leaves we will trade him for players, draft picks or a combination of both, but if he stays we wont be trading him. I canr reveal who the source is because they are not authorised to speak publicly, but i am 99% sure they are right, but if the 7% happens it is not because they were wrong, just the situation changed.
AFL superstar Dustin Martin has been spotted 'taking a little holiday' on the Gold Coast, sparking speculation he could join former coach Damien Hardwick at the Suns.
