Did anyone else feel that Hardwick really tried to down play his game?

A journo asked the question about how good he was, but he kept deflecting to Griffiths, Cotchin, Conca, even Morris got a mention.

Seemed overly reluctant to praise Dusty.

Maybe my current dislike for Hardwick is clouding my judgment?

I thought the same. Was a bit weird that he wouldn't take the opportunity to give him some praise for getting the team over the line. To compare his game with Hampsons is laughable to say the least

Absolutely played it down. Wary of bathwater, I reckon, and possibly still disappointed about Dusty's North game, Midsy.

against the swans we had 'the bounce of god'

yesterday, it was the dont argue, god.

theres a theme emerging in our wins. perhaps it is time for young lima mcbean to get a run.

:hihi

he is just getting better

I love how he never argues with the umps. he just gets on with it .that takes a lot of self regulation .........................something than 98% of other afl players dont have!!!!!!!

opposite to what has been reported/suggested/comments about his behaviour off the field ....................if you were going to see him 'blow up' then during the game you would see it ...............but nothing!!!

he is a gun!

I just LOVE watching Dusty play. I don't care that he's not a Selwood or a Dangerfield. The Dusty's put bums on seats. He's a great player and an entertainer. Yesterday showed he is our most damaging player. Single-handedly pulled us over the line.

Find if I've ever wanted him traded? The dumb bastards at GWS could've won this years flag if they had him.
i would trade Rance befire ever traded him. He is our most/best player.
He plays well we win
Wasn't too hard Zips...

Yep - loved his game - one of the few players at Tigerland to improve this year.

I find it quite funny....

All those supporters that were calling for Dustys blood in the wake of the chopstick saga......well, they are all now chocking on their Kung Pao Chicken.

Keep banging it thru the big (chop) sticks Dusty....

Go Tiges

Martin has now become a gut runner. He runs from contest to contest.

His first goal in the second quarter showed that. He started that on our half back line and got back on the end of it to finish on the run inside our forward 50.

That was a brilliant effort. I made the boys sit and watch that replay and pointed to his running effort. If only we had 10 more like him.

Well said. And he weathered that storm in a teacup and got over his dad being deported as well. Had a tough start to the year but class has shone through.

He was Voss-like yesterday. Thereabouts for best player in the game ATM. Those long handballs to players in perfect position almost made me cry.

Would win a brownlow or two at a top club. With better, harder more skilled bodies he would be the best in the league. Much like lids, Cotchin and jack it's a bit hard watching them have their footy careers stunted by their surrounding team and boneheaded coaching/development regime. Knowing they aren't reaching their potential.....

Was dusty interviewed after the game? Foxtel cut the broadcast 20secs after the siren here
