This will not even get looked at. The whole situation of players whacking players off the ball needs to be addressed. The umpires should not be instructed to pay a free if it keeps happening, they should be told to pay a free the first time they see it to stop it happening. The AFL are responsible for looking after the players and the game.

Good coaching to isolate Dusty & Robertson in the goal square in front of the cheer squad. Have to wonder what was said into the umpire's earpiece to pay the iffy free kick.
Thought exactly the same thing at the time of the incident. Dustins hand makes no contact with the face or eye area.
This guy needs to be sighted for the knee to Cotchin, The Knee to Dustin and for the headbutt.
I love good tough play and players, the stuff this guy was doing and attempting to do at the weekend was weak snipping at best.

His intention was to hurt and possibly get Cotchin out of the game. That deserves to be cited and a warning at a minimum. How the umpires missed the holding on that was happening I will never understand. I was further away than them but could see it. If they don't pay them the possibility intensifies for a retaliation and the person being held to be suspended for it. Bit like the Houli one - had a free been paid for holding off the ball he would never have needed to swing around to break free and hit Lamb. Umpires need to get better at that.

Yep the holding was so obvious. When the ump stopped the game at a centre bounce to tell Robertson to get his hands off Dusty, he took them off, proclaimed his innocence and then as soon as the ump turned his back to bounce the ball, gave Dusty a biog hug again. What were the other 2 umps doing? Knew he was doing it all the time, gets warned and then don't even watch him. Lucky we won the clearance and then had a shot at goal from the I50, but still pay the bloody free kick. They were quick to pay one straight after we goaled in the 1st quarter instead of the bounce.
