Dustin Martin

i liked him and Vlast in the middle. bit of collective grunt.

Loved watching him shove that Hawthorn player straight onto his back when he tried to get into the group of Tigers. Loved it. Just loved it. If we ever, ever, ever get a side up and running around Dusty, Cotch, Rance and Jack, (and soon enough Rioli), Dusty will make us proud.

Wonder if he is still trade bait amongst some this week? Trading a blue chip a grader for less never made sense. Just a jet.

Martin's effort against the Hawks must be the minimum benchmark of playing performance for the remainder of the season.
Would love to see some consistency at the high-end of the playing performance scale.
Martin has more to offer, just needs to realise this potential.

Agree. It was back to his norm. Wasn't out of the box, just his minimum again. His out of the box is a five goal demolition job in the fwd 50 which we all know he is capable of.
If Dusty can seperate his personal life from his job than he is a top 10 player in the comp.

Could be top ten, Zed ... just has to work harder to extract that elite potential on a more consistent basis AND in the big moments of matches.

Backed it up. Has really stepped it up last couple of games.

Cotchin out for a couple has forced him to take more responsibility, and he's thriving on it.

It is an interesting question - when we get Cotchin back, how do we continue building the momentum of the midfield? I would like to see Cotchin tried as an outside player, as Martin and Miles are doing very well (helped by Hammer's form)

Brilliant game again. Dont argue king, its catchy, even Hampson successfully executed one. Only thing is he has to get some of those short dinky icks out of his repertoire. He's just not that good at them.
