Dustin Martin

at the game and looked a bit "limp" around the mid way mark, but remarkably found some explosive pace and kicks in the last Q. He was actually getting better as the game went on!

Worked his way into it. Not convinced he's 100% fit though. Could not well laterally and could not chase.

I'd almost rest him for the Adelaide game. We got the result tonight in the winnable game so good move, but we have very little hope off a short break against the hottest team in the comp at their home deck.

You don't want a groin injury to linger.

I thought about this after the game , do they go all out against the crows ?

Or do they rest him , and possibly anyone else that may benefit from it ,

And throw everything at the dogs the following week ?

Nah, second guessing yourselves at this stage of the season is no good. If he is fit, and there is little risk of re-injury, he plays. If not, he shouldn't play.

Yep, at one point he was on the boundary line looking for Melbourne players to push in da chest with two Demons just standing there too scared to approach.

Good average game from Dusty, think I read he still got 32 possies and kicked the one goal. Nearly nailed that one on the run from the right forward pocket too.
I love that point...two demons just standing there too scared to approach hahaha

I was still able to roost the ball on several occasions, which isn't too bad for a player with a groin injury.

Disagree.

He struggled to kick the ball 50m twice in the last quarter.

Both landed just short of goal.

You're correct, Barnzy, about those last quarter efforts. I guess I was recalling some decent (although not ball-bursting) kicks throughout the first half of the match.

Rest him. Please.

This is our biggest game. We need all our guns playing.

We are full of confidence. We have nothing to lose.

Throw the kitchen sink at them. You just never know.

Yep. He was either not fully fit or was worrying about and protecting his groin. Quite a few times we remarked that he wasn't stretching out.

Actually the last quarter was the best he looked all night.

Don't forget it was Avery intense game and all the players were tiring greatly PLUS the ball was wet. I don't notice that his kicking lacked that much penetration.

Eddy McGuire says: "Dusty doesn't have much to say."

I guess that is because that Dusty's vocabulary is................

What is vocabulary?

Why do these guys interview a nuf nuf?

I think you need to see a very good psychiatrist.
