Dreamtime 2020 Game Day

The irony for Vlas is he usually gets collected high and late three times a game, and usually gets given the mark and nothing else. This one I think he was expecting the smack in the chops that never came, but got the 50 anyway.

I'll take it, he deserves it. But it wasn't a 50.
It was late and high. Impact irrelevant. 50m all day.

I reckon if you look closely at the Vlastuin 50 he goes past Bellchambers and says something and then you can lip read Bellchambers arguing with the umpire and saying did you hear what he said?

If he said something about staging for the 50 then it was a pretty stupid thing to do.
And you accuse others of conspiracy theories? Vlastuin clearly got contact high, his reaction to it wasn’t over the top. Have a look at Woodcock’s massive flop against the tigers and the media couldn’t give a rats about it. They know what drives headlines and our players cop it to feed the rabid AFL punters that want to hate on richmond.

On second thought the media could have had a field day with the headline, “Woodcock’s massive flop”

Pickett has got to go out. Surely Dow or RCD can provide more
No-one can know that as they have not even played a debut game. A more interesting question is whether it was the right decision to put MP on the list (admittedly on low $$) and cut Menadue or trade Butler etc?
I still have time for Marlion but I am starting to wonder if we based a decision on far too little exposed form at AFL level. He has some good traits but I am just doubting whether he has the full repertoire of skills required.
He's also ~27, those other guys so much younger. How much improvement does he offer?

Massive knob.
Cant believe it.
He was the first to twit, Lynch should get a week.
It must be in his contract at fox.
You must bag Richmond

I heard the only reason he became a footy journo was so he could check the boys out in the showers?

Yeah, he absolutely did. Saw the contest was lost and rolled the dice on the only option he had left.

Super smart play but ethically a little questionable. And if you are ethically questionable then people are probably going to question it.

Mind you, if it was Dangerfield PREnders would be calling for him to be walked into the ocean at Darwin.

With respect, I'm not sure you understand conspiracy theories. There's nothing even remotely like that in what I'm saying.

I'm not saying he wasn't taken high or what his reaction was or wasn't. He clearly says something to Bellchambers and Bellchambers clearly says did you hear what he said. That's all facts, assuming my lipreading is accurate of course.

I'm using logic to speculate that given Bellchambers is bringing up what he said to the umpire it was probably about getting the 50 and if so, I'm saying that's a silly thing to do.
No you were speculating that he said something about staging for the 50. The conspiracy you are latching onto is that Vlastuin was staging it. True I’ve embellished the definition of conspiracy theory but you get the point.

You're putting 2 and 2 together, speculating the answer is 6 then clipping Flossy for it.

Had it been the other way around I'm sure you'd be finding a way to slap our players.

He may just have called him a dumb *smile* for leaving his arm there. BellChambers may not have liked being called a *smile*. Assuming Flossy said that he had been staging is mass speculation.

It's been our MO to waste chances by oversharing the ball in forward 50 for at least three years. I'm sure one day it will hurt us but it hasn't yet.

I could post more analysis but mine tends to be balanced and therefore not really in keeping with the popular views often shared here. Leads to arguments I don't really have any interest in so I keep my contributions minimal.
Give it a go BR....think we are pretty versatile and might even have our footy IQ enhanced.
And if Gandhi was worried about a few whacks India would still be in the Empire.

Weird game. We absolutely smashed them everywhere but on the scoreboard. In the end I'll take 66 inside 50s to 24 every day of the week.

And I still think Tippa is the most overrated player in the league. 7 disposals yet commentators acting like he almost won them the game. He was cleaned up good and proper.

Definitely late, not so definitely high. Still technically a 50 as it was late, but a soofffft 50.

Dunno, that big hand/moving at speed with the intent to make contact will throw you back when it hits your shoulder. Assume follow through reaches up and your natural defensive reaction is to move your noggin out of the way.

It starts with Bell chambers leaving his arm out to make late contact. It ends as soon as that contact is made.

Years ago he had a habit of ducking into tackles for frees. He wasn't good at it and it looked terrible. He shook the habit.

Now he has a habit of flopping (and he's actually good at it). We all know he's great and his courage can't be questioned, but he has to wear the reputation as a stager. He doesn't have Rance's profile so might be able to outrun it if he gives it up soon.

Edit: just looking at a Twitter GIF... is it possible Grimes was tripped?

yeah i'm not concerned with the head movement, I'm just saying he wasn't hit in the head. That's the only footage I could find for now. He wasn't taken high.

Over the shoulder is high. Contact to the neck is high. It was unexpected but I don't think Vlastuin played it up unduly.

You don't have to knock yourself out like Jordy Lewis to get a 50.
