Dreamtime 2020 Game Day

Both players were moving at speed. Go and get *smile* Lewis.

He's trying to claim Vlastuin feigned the contact.

Depends how you look at it, it was either high or at the very least the fist hit the shoulder first and then slipped up and hit him in the face. The fist without doubt hit his face, but may have brushed the shoulder first. There was no flopping or feigning injury. Looking back 50 was probably 50/50 purely because BellChambers fist may have hit Vlas shoulder first, but it definitely slipped up and connected with his face.

If Shai had as many disposals as "uhm" we would be unbeatable.
Bless him.

Its tough to be positive about that performance but i liked the games of Short, Dusty, Shai and K Mac.

Rioli, Stack and Chol are super frustrating players to watch at times. We're playing the latter two on potential only at this point, there isn't a heap of output.

Greasy conditions certainly didn't help but we looked unfit and lacking poilish tonight.

Having said that, I reckon the team will lift knowing we're playing a challenger in the eagles next week.

I'm not sure we looked unfit. We dominated the play, we used it awfully inside 50 and the flood worked well for the Bombers.

We are a Melbourne team who play in the winter of Melbourne, cold, windy and sometimes wet. Playing in hot humid conditions is not what we are use to.

Add the opposition defensive flood and our players work themselves hard to push the ball goalwards only to see their team mates outnumbered almost 2 to 1 in our forward line.

Hot, humid night, flooded forward line I'm amazed most of our players ran the game out as strongly as the did. Whereas Essendon were purely rebounding which takes a lot less energy IMO.

Good teams win ugly. We are a good team - with a few tweaks and a couple of added players, we will be a great team.

And that's why the bookies have us 2nd favourite for the flag........

probably should have won that by 15 goals.... ....having had 10,000 fwd 50 entries to 10 you'd think so ?

ease up everyone. hard conditions. good win. enjoy it.

They were not hard conditions. When they score just as many goals from a third inside 50s, that is an issue.
It happens every week - Richmond Bombers just kick it in inside 50 and have no idea who they are kicking it to.

Stack, Chol, Markov and Aarts.

None of them were present in September last year.

None of them will likely be present this September either.

Very forgettable game! Anyway, we take the 4 points and go back ‘home’ to sunny QLD.

Dixon’s thuggery gets basically a quick fine, move on from the media. Last week Lynch was basically a mass murderer.
