DRAW 2023

Do we still have to buy tickets for GA? I book them for the MCG as a Roaming Tiger member but for games at Chernobyl and away games can I just turn up?

If the answer is yes, the obvious follow up is, why?

I can't find a link to get tickets for Round 2 vs Crows in Adelaide.

The only thing I've found is the link Ricemagic posted above (#306) which states the Ticketek Members On-Sales as 6 march.

Is it going to be a Crows members-only lockout?

I have some overseas visitors coming here that week and they want to see a live game. That round 2 game fits perfectly with their itinerary and would also give them a chance to observe some real South Australian feral low-lifes. I am looking to buy 4 tickets, although Adelaide FC corporate events would be beyond our budget.

Any help appreciated.

I’m going to Adelaide as well.

I went to the Port game last year and tickets were very easy to come by… But they were an absolute rip off. Pretty sure I paid $60 for a seat in front of the hill and GA on the hill was $35.

I’ll keep my nose close to the ground and post here when tix go on sale. The AFL website says March 6, but there is usually a members only period before it opens to the general public.

I end up paying extra for a reserved seat at Marvel. My misses is short and won’t stand and I refuse to sit on L3. Last year it was only something like $10-12 extra to get a seat a few bays over from the cheer squad.

I believe March 6 is the Members on-sale, March 7 would be for general public.

It's gonna be a pain next week getting tix for Rd's 1 & 3 (Carlton & Collingwood).
What's the best option?
1 computer lined up for Rd 1 and another device for Rd 3 at the same time, and cross your fingers?

From my experience use 2 mobile phones as the mobile network always gets me in faster than the internet.
As I say, that's my experience, others may beg to differ.

From my experience,
- everyone logs on at once and the website crashes
- you try and get tickets for where you want to sit but none are available. You are forced to get the “ best seats available “ as they only open a few bays at a time. You get those seats because you are fearful you will be locked out as the website says ” sold out” or will only let you buy 1 ticket and can’t find 2 or more seats together. You panic because you think it will be a sellout ( when in fact it’s only the bays they open up a few at a time that are selling out)
- after breathing a sigh of relief that you got a seat, even though it’s not where you want to sit, your relief turns to anger and frustration when you go back into the website a few days later to find out that more seats have been released, where you want to sit but are stuck with the seats you have
- you turn up on the night and sit in your crappy seat, that you paid a premium for, only to look around and find huge areas of empty seats available on the night
- you get even more pissed off when you find out they are all general admission and didn’t need to pay extra

Just my experience over the past few years :)

Worst thing at Chernobyl is that you end up on level 3 while level 1 is half empty. It is a disgrace.

I'm hoping 'GP On-Sale' is General Public and not for the Grand Prix tickets!! :eyes:LOL:
Such a crap website the AFL one, they don't even fit all the details off the info attached, you have to use a slider at the bottom to read it all

Open 3-4 tab's on your computer, just have them spin and spin until you get into both games, done it many a time, you're not going to get what you want because it's already reserved anyway, but you still get good seats.

I sit 10-20 rows behind the bench, I like to think I'm the groover and mover off the interchange rotations!! :mhihi:ROFLMAO:

Are you one of the blokes who used to give it to me when I was sitting on the bench?
I don't boo Richmond people at the game, at training, in public or anywhere man, luv U and all the dude's at the club.
I know my lane and might have opinions on here or in life but I am intelligent enough to 'stay in your lane', fine to have an opinion but let U all do your job!! (y)

I started my MCC Membership in 2017 ;)
SO YOU CAN SEE I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR 2017-2020!!!! :clap2

I like to think the club were waiting until I got my MCC Membership and then it all took off, it wasn't like that when I was a pleb from 1983-2016 aye :censored::LOL:

I sit in M48, anywhere from row G/H to Z, or stand at the back if it rains.

And I've got Stumps Bar directly behind me for pre-game, half time and after game drinks!! :coffee::nono:LOL:

tix for all 6 MCG home games sorted. I wasn’t able to choose my own seat... i had to take what i was given. Not happy about this, but I got my preferred spot anyway (just not on the aisle).

I will probably organise the Gold Coast Game at Marvel later today.

Got my 4 tickets in the AFL Members reserve quite quickly, for Round 1 and Round 3 with a minimum of fuss, unlike past years with crashes and postponements.

Took me almost 10 minutes to get access in to choose. Was getting pretty nervous. Ended up with M26 for Carlton & M20 for Coll.
Pretty happy with that especially as I purchased RD 3 first and then had to get back in for RD 1.

Pretty smooth going once i got in at 2pm for the round 3 Collingwood game. Previous years never got great seats in the AFL Reserve for away games but happy this year with 6 tickets row A in N24. (as long as the weather holds up.)
