Draft Hannah Mounsey to AFL women

Oh if you think that's a joke, there is a militant atheist transgender activist in the US that calls himself Zinnia Jones. Ms Jones has taken the demand for equal treatment a step further by stating that straight guys that don't wish to date trans-women 'should try to work through that'. Jones then went on to say, 'these angry declarations that they have some absolute right to not want to be with trans women are just misplaced and inappropriate'. So apparently being straight and not being romantically interested in a trans-woman could be construed as bigotry *lol*. Anyhow the likes of Mounsey and Jones can identify as women as much as they like, but it's just one consideration among many others as to how far they will be treated as such.
Ok. So by that token a straight man who won't date a man are bigots. Gay men who won't date women are bigots, lesbian women who won't date men are bigots and straight women who won't date women are bigots.

What a *smile*ing nutcase. Once upon a time people like this would have just been ignored as a nutcase. But in the saturated world of social media, they now have a ready made audience. And it seems in this climate, if one repeats statements of lunacy enough, eventually they gain traction towards legitimacy.

Seriously? Geez, just *smile*ing grateful that I'm old n don't have to think too hard about this type of *smile* much. The world's bad enough when somebody can successfully sue for a boiled fanny because they bought a coffee at a drive through n then put the paper cup in their crotch while they were driving. How pitiful is the world becoming when it's somehow hateful to not want a relationship or sex with a person who doesn't suit your personal requirements.

Is she the one that said something like “ladies, if your man says he won’t date a trans woman, dump him”?

It would be a good idea not to bring up one case of an absolutely extreme idea and then rally against it as if it represents the entire discussion.

I don't know any trans people who would be arguing people need to be attracted to them. In fact, it's generally not even about attraction. It's about being who you are without impacting on anyone else, and being afforded basic human respect. Yes, there will be some confronting logistics in a world where the majority assume they're the totality. These being things like shared bathrooms, clothing, gendered sporting leagues. But on the whole, people just want to live their lives without pretending to be something they aren't. And if there are one or two people in the world who take it too far, well, that's going to happen at any extreme of a discussion.

There's exactly where most of the problems lie. There's always a bunch of rabid *smile* wits who want nothing more than to beat the crap out of everybody else with their crazy brain fried bull *smile* and another bunch of almost as stupids that are happy to give them a platform and funding to operate from.

This is exactly the strategy employed by our political parties.

Say nonsense often enough until it's accepted as fact.

There is nothing wrong in exposing the lunatic element of the trans gender group and their supporters. The problem is the extremist are often the most motivated, most determined and most organised. Their voices tend to be loudest and as a consequence they can assume positions of power and influence far beyond their numbers. Most Germans were not NAZI's but that didn't stop them taking over and the vast majority of Germans acquiescing to them. Likewise most Russians were not Communists but the same thing happened. Your trans friends might have a live and let live attitude, but the agenda of the activist class goes far beyond that in terms of redefining language, education, freedom of speech and freedom of religion. It's not simply about some Trannies living in peace in some hipster inner city suburb which your friend probably do, it's an aggressive political agenda.

I blame 'the 24hr news cycle' and the rise of 'social media'. Producers looking for a loud or extreme voice will give them a platform but only 5 minutes of interrupted time with an extremist of the opposite stripe and then the viewing public will obediently choose a group to belong to and line up behind the extemist that most reflects their view and think they are now informed on the subject.

I reckon its the advent of social media. Where as in times gone by the "extremists" cluld only be heard by a few now with twitter and Facebook abyone anywhere can listen and therefore be influnced. See islam extremism as another example.

Took the words out of my mouth Knighter (or fingers - should we say, if we are typing). And I think one of the reasons why our socio-political world in western society seems to have become so divisive in the past 2 decades.

The nasty Trump vs Clinton Presidential election was very much the culmination of this environment and was fought on the ugly, divisive platform of identity politics. And it's been written that quite a number of voters who backed Trump, did it knowing full well that he was a ridiculous candidate, and likely were not ok with a lot of his past or a lot of what he said. But were backed into a corner at falling in behind their enemy's enemy, as opposed to actually voting FOR Trump.

Wow.

The aggressive political trans agenda is equivalent to Nazism.

Okay. No point in talking to you anymore.

Notions -

Gender is a construct. Hannah Mounsey is largely free.

Humans are sexually dimorphic. Discernments based on sex (XX-XY-Other) are to be adjudicated medically. Hannah Mounsey may be adjudicated XY.

Humans are sexually dimorphic. There are established measures. Do we need to challenge them?
