David Teague

If “Teagey”does come across , I hope it dosent cost us getting Thomson’s brother , I have a sneaky suspicion he could be a pretty good player in the right environment , one that dosent have the swine smell lingering of John Elliott . Most don’t rate Paddy , however I’ve seen a few very nice things , bit like his brother that his kickings not “ lace out” however I hope we take a punt

Reported (use that term any way you want) that there was very bad player feedback on Teague from the review.

Given he was a player favourite as an assistant, how would that happen ? Has been “reported” by two seperate media outlets that the players didn’t like being told to lift their performances this year. One or two key leaders. Teague even referred to it himself by saying the other day that the players had to understand that a high performance culture is required of them. Sounds like a few can’t subscribe.

I’m sensing a rotten to the core culture within that playing group, not a high performance one.
Have to be wary of player feedback. They can sook it up and use the coach as an excuse for their own poor form.

Yep. Teague coached Adelaide's forward group under Don Pyke and was much loved from all reports (Betts has been a strong supporter). Wouldn't read too much into a proven mediocre player group who haven't achieved anything looking to shift blame.

"Carlton finally tells David Teague it's over despite putting up a new Tinder profile weeks ago."

Home truths they are looks like club let the players run the joint.

Yes, if he brings Weitering with him.

I remember clearly Weitering making a snide remark about Richmond's culture when he was drafted to Carlton and he is now proudly in the leadership group overseeing Carlton's culture ,(so he can suffer in his smelly Carlton jocks).

Good player but.

the players arent going to take the side of a coach clearly about to get the boot.

Ya know if we keep getting these stories clicking along, come this time next week Tom Browne will run with it on 7 News..

Tim Watson. ... " Let's go to Tom Browne at Punt Rd with some breaking news..... are you there Tom?"

TB..... "Hi Tim, tonight I can exclusively report for 7 News from my multiple reliable sources inside Richmond that possibly they will maybe, potentially look at David Teague to refresh their coaching ranks.... my sources also tell me that Damien Hardwick has spoken to him! Back to you in the studio Tim"

TW...... "Thanks Tom, you're always first with the news around the AFL" (Split screen Tom Browne head wobble) Back to you Pete.

Peter Mitchell. .... "Gee that's certainly big news out of Tigerland... he's a marvel Tom Browne isn't he!... Jane, what news can you bring on the weather front?"

Jane Bunn... "Wow Mitch, I'm still stunned with the latest from Tom on the Tigers..... after the break, things are starting to warm up in Melbourne"

Ps....I was watching something on Fox Footy last week and I swear David King said some obscure thing, word for word which I'd read on here as if it was fact... So Kingy, if ya reading this, go back to making your own *smile* up!

Total sham those reviews. Given the opportunity guys who are overpaid and underperformed will look to shift as much blame as possible to someone else..its human nature. So total cats like Williams who refuse to defend or even work hard on field come out and say "I was confused with the game plan, Teague didn't explain himself properly."
As soon as Teague was given the negative feedback it only confirmed to him how crap the list is and how many pretenders there are on it.

So they can’t adjust the game plan can they ? Nobody can, or did say to Teague “mate this is confusing” ?

Talk about *smile*. Talk about throwing a bloke under the bus and doing a number on him to protect players, board members and other personnel. Where’s Liddle’s accountability in all this ?

Liddle also took a shot at Pickering. Expect a warts and all response from Pickering I reckon - including a crack at Carlton people and maybe some of the players again. Could be juicy.

I wonder if Pickering manages any Carlton players Redfords. Or any thing of heading there.
If so, maybe he’s pissed off bigtime and “advises” his players accordingly. Unless they’re duds.

Dunno Willos. He might pull his punches a bit on account. But knowing him, he’ll return fire in some form or another.
